There has to be a way for the dealership to contact the trucking company to see when your car is scheduled for transport. I don't get how it's taking this long for you, especially since I assume you don't live too far away from Milpitas.
That happened to mine as well. After production was complete, it went to awaiting shipment, a few days later, in transit, then back to awaiting shipment and no EDD. A day or two later, it went back to in transit with new EDD.
I just found out through Ford Performance chat my car is currently passing through Illinois on the train. My EDD is now 4/13. I highly doubt it arrives on that date if it's only in IL. Seems like it would take longer on the train to arrive in California.
Just got back from vacation. It was pretty nice having the cotus checker e-mails to keep tabs on my Mustang. Hopefully mine is here soon. The EDD keeps changing. It's gone from 4/18 down to 4/12, back up to 4/18 and now it's 4/15.
Mine has been in production since the end of last week. I believe Cotus changes to in production like 3-4 days plus before your actual build date. Based on my blend number, mine is supposed to be built tomorrow. Sometimes your blend number on your window sticker is spot on with the actual build...
Looks like my build date was pushed into next week. It was supposed to be built this week. My EDD hasn't changed on COTUS though.
EDIT: Shortly after I posted this, COTUS changed to in production. Go figure. Maybe mine will be built this week, who knows at this point. My window sticker won't...
That's weird. Your window sticker will show the build date. I'm still waiting for my window sticker to show up. I believe mine is supposed to be built next week as well.
It sounds like your dealer didn't actually order the car until 1/8/18. You can print an order sheet before it's actually submitted to Ford. My salesman did that so I could double check everything before he submitted the order. The reason why it could take that long is your dealership may not...
The wait does suck but it's pretty awesome the day you get to pick it up. One thing I like about ordering versus buying off the lot is you know your car hasn't been test driven at all. My last order a few years ago, there were only 2 miles on the truck when I picked it up.
I haven't seen any confirmation for the U.S. Based on reddit, that was a Canadian order that was ordered before mine. I ordered my car at the end of January with magnaride and mine is scheduled to be built in a few weeks.
