I didnt have it, and today it started. I hope it goes away itself, otherwise I'm going to spray some oil on parts that I can reach and see if that helps. Otherwise I will give it a month or so before taking it to a shop to look at it. I saw on some video's in the past that it's a known issue...

Yes, that's what I also think. All the cars with the carpets cut are Australian and not from US or Canada. I also read in the topic you shared from the S550 that an American didnt had a cut carpet and he cut it himself and didnt find anything.

Oh my mistake, didnt know you were from Australia. I only hear this from people from Australia. The S550 is also the same thing. People from Australia all say this but I never heard an American have this.

Can you maybe verify if this is also for the S650? The link you posted are imported cars to Australia. It could be that it happened after the import. I want to know if US cars have this. My garage says I don't have a VIN stamped on my car and I don't believe them since they ask a lot of money...

But it really depends on where you live and what winters you have. If you live in places where you have hills, always get dedicated winter tires. I'm in a country where it can get really cold and snowy but everything is flat. And effectivly we only get around 8 to 14 days a year of real snowy...

I came to the conclusion that I'm going for the Continental AllSeasonContact 2. They are the best tested all season in Germany and they come as close as a winter tire in the winter and a summer tire in the summer.

I have the same thing on the rear fender. When I push it in, it stays like that for 10 minutes. Looks like it can't hold on. If there is a way to fix this I would do that immediatly cause it looks bad.
