The dealer can no longer offer me the vehicle at our agreed upon price. Gas guzzler tax is included in the price of the vehicle, not paid after the fact.
My dealer does not collect any tax from me at the time of sale, and Iām responsible for that at the time of registration. If what you said is...
I completely agree with you. However, it becomes a breach of contract as the dealer is no longer able to sell you a vehicle for the agreed upon price. Creates a bit of a predicament.
Exactly. My build will now be $1,000 more than my order sheet and the price I signed with the dealer. I also have a $1,000 non-refundable down payment, so Itāll be interesting to see how they respond.
Thatās what Iām guessing as well. So in the case of a non-refundable deposit on an order, it would seem wrong for it to be non-refundable but subject to all āpriceā increases.
Based on the assumption that the gas tax is the reason for the increase, is it safe to say there will be no price protection? As this is a gas tax increase and not a typical price increase?
Iām really hoping that our price is locked in at time of order. I placed an order with a non-refundable deposit, and it would seem wrong if I were subject to all price increases with no option to receive my deposit back.
I ordered from granger on 3/27, priority code 19. Base GT with no options. Still unscheduled. I agree that it seems to just be luck of the draw at this point.
Base Grabber Blue GT here with no build date scheduled. I definitely got my hopes up yesterday when I started hearing everyone get their VINs and build date. But unfortunately mine was not selected.
