Well, just responding to the question posed. That said, opinions and personal preferences are great and respect yours. IMO, the loud raspy - popping is obnoxious :) I like the deep tone and scream when WOT. Noise aside, it's horsepower, torque, traction and the driver who makes the difference

Borla Cat-back with X Pipe. Stock Manifold/Cats. It was very loud and raspy. Replace the X Pipe with Borla resonated H Pipe. Took out virtually all the rasp and most of the popping. Made the exhaust much deeper. It was basically a plug in easy install.

I'm a little late with response. 45+ years as well with USAA. They are a shadow of what they used to be. I've experienced substantial rate increases as well without any claims. Still looking for better options.
