  1. Jacking Rail Question

I call it a crossmember, but it is the bracket added In the front to the seventh gen that supports the new panels under the car that have to be cut to install the rail. Steeda should redesign the rail to accommodate this new bracket. I know it will still fit, but the rail is lower in the front...
  2. Controlling AC

Thanks. Definitely not in auto mode. I was thinking that perhaps there was a humdistat that keeps it on above a certain relative humidity as it overides the AC setting more in the morning. Guess I will need to bring it in to have the dealer look at it.
  3. Controlling AC

Is there a setting that can turn off the AC when I turn off the AC on the display? In the mornings especially, even with the AC turned "off", the AC may still run. I like to just run the fan sometimes without the AC running, and I've always run the fan for a few minutes before turning off to...
  4. Dark Horse Driveline Clunk

My cluck came back at ~2800 miles and after a 300 miles it went away again. Very annoying. In my case, I'm wondering if it could be related to the transmission shfting pattern that happens to create a mechanical resonance. Is there a way to suspend the transmission learning algorithm adapting...
  5. Jacking Rail Question

On your Mustang, does the front part of the jacking rail sit further down below the pinch weld than it does on the rear of the jacking rail?
  6. Jacking Rail Question

Did you install the front part of the rails on top of or under the "cross member" that is now on the S650 and serves as a support for the splash panels. Installing on top of thecross member causes the front part of the jacking rail lower than at the rear by about 3/16".
  7. Jacking rails

I have these Steed 555-5205 jacking rails for a Dark Horse. The front bolts also secure a bracket that I don't see in any pictures. When loosening the bolts, the bracket starts to move from the body, so I immediately tightened back up. Have I now messed up front end alignment or otherwise...
  8. Dark Horse Driveline Clunk

It must be a different issue than I was having. It was definitely not coming from the front. It was in the driveline or possibly rear suspension.
  9. Dark Horse Driveline Clunk

I feel your pain. It's riduclous that it cannot be diagnosed properly. The noise mine had was unacceptable, and if it had continued or come back, it would not be tolerated. Pushing for a lemon law buyback may help push it up in priority.
  10. Dark Horse Driveline Clunk

A mechanic friend of mine convinced me to wait until 1000 miles before bringing it in to the dealer, and just before 1000 miles, the clunk actually stopped, and now I have another 700 miles without this issue. I think it may be related to the transmission adaptive learning algorithm, as the only...
  11. Dark Horse Driveline Clunk

Thank you for your interest. I sent the requested information to you.
  12. Dark Horse Driveline Clunk

At about the 500-mile mark, I've developed a "clunk" sound that seems to occur around 29mph when slowing to a stop at a traffic light, etc. It seems to occur when it downshifts into 5th. The transmission shifts fine and doesn't have the gear hunting and other issues I've read about with the...
  13. Front Suspension Shipping Blocks

The PDI indicates that the customer is to install the oil catch can for Dark Horse. Is this for all Dark Horse or only with performance handling package?
  14. Front Suspension Shipping Blocks

I noticed after 70 miles that the yellow shipping blocks in the front springs were not removed on my 2024 Dark Horse. Could this have caused damage, and how should they be removed? Is there a copy of the PDI checklist available that I could use to see if anything else was missed? Thanks!
