So doing LTH, does the car auto adjust the ratios or does it run a little off since usually doing headers requires a retune for a proper running setup? If it didn’t need a new tune and is running good, I may pair my new Steeda H Pipe with a set of headers a lot sooner than planned.
Associates inspect and scuff/repair paint defects, hence why there are so many missed defects and unfinished repairs. At Honda we call it TCI (Top Coat Inspection), associates will inspect the whole body top to bottom before it goes out the assembly to begin final assembly.
***UPDATE***
I just stopped by my local Ford dealership where they have a GT premium with AE and NPP, and asked to start theirs after explaining what I was hearing. They allowed me to start the car, and to my relief if has the exact same noise on startup until idle down as mine has. So after...
I don't think I have anything going on that sounds like a piston slap going with mine. Wonder what's up with yours? Because again the only noises I have is that raspy noise on startup and then sometimes a clicking on a slow Rev, but I'm still not convinced it wasn't the exhaust piping popping...
Yeah after the idle down it gets quiet, and depending if it’s the middle of the day or if the engine is somewhat warm, it isn’t nearly as loud either. Super odd.
But now that I’ve heard another s650 make the same noise, makes me wonder if all of them do and if so, just wanna know what it is. If they all do it then it’s obvious that it’s normal, just a new noise my ocd can’t let go lol
Wouldn’t the noise be constant though? I mean your guess is better than mine but I don’t feel like it would make that muffled rattle noise then go away on idle down 🤷🏻‍♂️
You rock! I hear the same noise I hear on mine, it’s like the rattle/rapid tick noise and then when you hear the idle down begin it goes away. I’m going to try to compress my video and see if I can post it on here and you can listen. Makes me feel more comfortable that yours also has that.
Quiet mode, put the phone right underneath the drivers side seat, but under the car lol. Point it at the catalytic converters.
Quiet mode and put your Phone under the car behind the driver's side front tire.
I work in the paint shop for Honda, have for nearly 5 years now. Paint work is tedious and sucks to have to do on a new car but it is what it is. I’ve scuffed and polished more bumpers and bodies than I could remotely guess.
A paint correction will almost certainly get them out, I had an unpolished scuff from fords paint shop and a scratch next to it that I found when I got home with mine. Took it to my dealer the following week and they paint corrected that 1ftx1ft section. Sucks but black is one of those colors...
I’d just like to hear what the car sounds like from a cold start to idle down from under the car, I think what I was hearing clicking wise was honestly the exhaust popping from being warm because it didn’t really happen at all today and I ran it pretty hard for a bit. For whatever reason I can’t...
No brake in needed for the brakes. If you have the PP you have 6 piston fronts and 4 piston rears. You’ll lock All 4 up if you stand on it going 70, I’ve avoided a lot of bad situations due to the brembos doing an amazing job. Only con, they are brake dust machines. Wheels will get filthy from...
If they did, it didn’t solve the tick. I’m pretty certain this is what I’m hearing tick wise.
I would still like someone to start their GT with exhaust on quiet and record with the phone right underneath the car drivers side so I can hear if they all sound how mine does.
I
l will get a video in the morning after work. This sounds kinda similar to what tick I hear, but again I only hear mine when I slow rev to around 2k. Probably the same thing.
I still have no idea what the muffled rasp noise I hear is though.
I’ve noticed the only time mine does it is if I remote start it with there being something within 6 feet of the front of the car. Never ever turns on when I’m in and start it and will go away on its own or if I restart the car.
