Thanks, they were as well as suspension blocks still in place. But I still find the tires noisier and the ride harsher. PS4S were somewhat more comfortable.
I am one of those... still own the MACH 1, so I can compare head to head.
Only 3 days with the DH, but I love:
- gearbox: a huge surprise, it's refined while driving gently, something the MACH 1 lacks very much
- infotainment: a huge advance
- steering wheel: amazing
- exhaust sound: different...
I did the same, after removing de 20 mm spacers, I had around 11 full turns, 15.5 mm, not aerospace, but safe.
I found 20 mm too poky, 25 mm would be even more. If I do it again, I’ll probably go with 15 mm, hence new longer studs, but not for safety matters.
+1/2"
Long story short: I installed 20mm bolt ons on my MACH 1, but it was too aggressive and during installation I had to shave the studs 2-3 mms.
On my Darkhorse I want narrower spacers, thinking about 12-15mm and those require 1/2" longer studs.
Thanks
Hey everyone,
I’m looking into changing the wheel studs on my Dark Horse and wanted to hear from anyone who has done it.
How difficult is the job overall? Is it something reasonably manageable with basic tools, or does it usually turn into a bigger project?
Also, are the front and rear stud...
Thanks for all the answers, my MACH 1 has red ones, and I believe I'll miss them, but I wondering if the dark look may end up winning. This is my actual car. If had the option when buying, I would have choosed red ones, but painting them makes me wonder.
Just picked up a new Mustang Dark Horse in Carbonized Gray, and it came with the stock black Brembo calipers. I’m considering changing them to red because I like the extra contrast and the way red makes the brakes stand out a bit more behind the wheels.
At the same time, I’m not sure if red...
