I understand where you are coming from and "constructive" criticism is legit, but just saying it is not advanced because they happen to expect something much more bigger, doesn't do it either. As mentioned now numerous times, Ford told us how the story will continue and many independant sources...
Yes, I agree with you on these points. I also never understood why Ford doesn't make a complete solution. Don't know whether it has something to do with cost savings. This issue is also on the current Gen GT where the upper grill is in glossy black and the small lower grill in matt grey...
The picture below shows very well that the S550 look dated next to the S650. I mean come on guys. I like my S550 very much as well, but sometimes you need to let go as well :D Nobody forces you to buy the S650, but this eager defensive attitude by just saying " oh the S650 is not that well...
I mean I also wished a few things to be improved
- powered Recaro seats
- electronic break with auto hold
- AWD as option
- Less weight
But we can't have everything and Ford withold those things maybe for future facelift models and Gen 8.
In a nutshell I am happy with the S650 and would...
It has been told numerous times that the S650 will be a " Evolution" not a " Revolution". Hence I don't understand that people are annoyed or surprised that it didn't drastically change. Why should Ford create something completely new without knowing the outcome; if the current model sells very...
The 20 BHP alone won't do it and the double air intake and new throttle body will only do its small bits. Here in Europe the current Mach 1 with AT does 0-62mph in 4.4 seconds.
The S650 GT will be probably around 4.2 and the DH 4.0 seconds respectively.
As to what lap times goes on the...
I really hope that they bring something like Kona Blue again, because it is such a nice color. I have it on my S550 GT 55 years edition and it looks awesome. Depending on the weather you have either some purple stitches to the paint or it is completely darkish.
Bottom line is, that both models, the GT and DH will be more expensive than the S550. That is absolutely fine for me considering the currently economic climate and inflation (and the better total package of the car of course). The question will be how much we need to pay as add-on.
For Europe...
I have embedded a picture below which shows the rules regarding the noise level in Europe. It is in German, but as you can see, the incrementally difference will take place for cars starting in 2024. Howver first registration from 1st July 2026.
I don't know if you use these metrics as well...
Like the current model I am expecting that DH and GT will have 20PS less, so in numbers that would be around 490PS for the DH and 470/475PS for the GT.
Since we will get a OPF, I am assuming the sound will be the same as the current model.
In terms of performance: That will the biggest...
If I get the DH: I would defintely change the plastic piece underneath the headlights.
If I get the GT: I would paint the lower grill and side air intakes in glossy black as well since Ford is not capable in doing that. I would also change the quad exhausts as they appear to look smaller...
I think the interior is nice. Some people don't like it, but you have to go with the time. Nobody offers analogue gauges anymore, nor do most people want it, hands down.
The quality of my 55 years GT is already solid with the Alcantara and Carbon Fibre. The S650 will probably made a jump to...
For the sake of this group and for the kidness that I have, I am no further discuss this stupid topic borught up by certain "fans" anymore. My point was valid and clear. And that is about it. Period.
I feel the same. It looks like it has been just sticked there as if they have forgotten it at first place. I like the way they solved it with the current model. It is neatly integrated and it doesn't look stand out that much.
