Ignoring fuel economy and emissions, what is a hybrid
going to do for me over the current V8 auto that I can't
get with a 3/4C converter? (especially when you get
an even deeper first gear with 10 speed, which hopefully
overall improves the 60' problems)
Maybe weight distribution with...
I'm sure it was federal regs that forced ford to make power seats std (at least in the 17 GT's I was looking at )
28 pages of weighing parts

Making a car heavy makes it more expensive. Need more HP, bigger drivetrain, larger brakes, bigger tires. All that means beefier chassis (and much harder to get decent mileage).
Point is this car has been porking up to the tune of 600 lbs since the 80's (my loaded with every option avail...
One of the most short sighted statements I've ever read. Lower
weight helps every aspect of a vehicle, except maybe a tow rig
which I believe tow better when the tail is not wagging the dog.
Prove it!!
It only makes any sense on a mustang if you use it
for AWD with something like the EB. Using it for more
low end torque with the V8 is not required. Hard enough
to get traction with just the stock V8 now.
I'm right there with ya (86 to 2014). No real reason to own a 4.6 and if they make anything smaller than a 5.0, I won't get that either. The only thing I might consider is some form of AWD, but I don't see that being very light no matter what they do.
Right off the bat, on a day like today in NJ, solar is 100% useless. So the entire electrical grid/pwer generation has to be maintained/upgraded as if solar does not exist. So those without solar have subsidized the one's who do and yet we also still have to pay for the entire electric grid...
Or the low volume of mustangs and how many of them don't go anywhere. Only have 5K on my 14 and 80ishK on my 86. There are plenty with very low mileage for their age.
If one really wants to start talking envr damage, how big is your McMansion and why is there no mandated maximum allowable...
Yeah. What software for that thing will be supportable
30 years from now when I want to rebuild it? Good luck finding a
5.25 floppy drive (I still have my first new car, 86 Capri 5.0,
so yes some people do keep cars that long).
There is not too much on my 14 GT that I could not diagnose and...
