I think it is very possible that cutting out the plastic mesh could cause this small opening to create a restriction. In order to have good flow you want the exiting air to have more available flow than the intake. If they have balanced this out in their design you could be creating the opposite...
If price isn't an issue go with the M850i or the M840i. These cars are quick and luxuious while looking amazing imo. We have owned 2 M850i convertibles and my wife loves them!
I have owned a C8 coupe and convertible, 2 C7 Z06's, a C7 Grandsport and a C7 Z51 convertible, a C6 427 convertible, C6 supercharged grand sport convertible and a C6 convertible...
If you have the money to buy a C8 do it. I love my Mustangs but if you are on the fence buy the C8! I have owned...
I ordered my first Corvette C8 with ZERO idea of the cost of the car or the options until just before it was delivered. I was a little apprehensive lol.

All SS1LE's have magride, thx I knew that. I cross shopped and drove 2 SS1LE's. I don't agree with your clear competitor comment but I don't totally disagree with it either. I honestly don't need your advice on what cars to buy I have purchased MANY. Having said that I tell people if you track...
I took note that the S650 did not have Magneride but the SS1LE did and don't forget the SS1LE had a track alignment! And better tires. This was not a peer review imo.
I cross shopped the SS1LE and I can say that it does handle much better but at the expense of ride quality. They ride pretty hard even with the magnetic suspension. The road impacts could be felt and heard on the structure of the car, even when set to the softest setting. The ride quality in...
