  1. Check your headlights for water spots inside

My thoughts exactly. A little shorter trip but I bought my stang in Phoenix AZ and drove it about 900 miles back to the Bay Area, CA. It was a blast. I bought this car so I could drive it, not put it on a trailer!
  2. Another Sub install for a 9 speaker system.

“I also killed the noise crap using forscan (see photo, make both X's 0 (zero)” What does this mean? I don’t see any photo. What is the “noise crap”? Also what is LOC?
  3. DH hits the sweet spot in my opinion

I agree with the “sweet spot” conclusion. I use my DH as a daily driver. It has 500 HP….an absolute massive amount of power….i got the thing for 75k out the door with all taxes and fees. Just a hell of a deal all things considered. The SC adds hundreds of HP, tens of thousands of dollars...
  4. Dark Horse Mustang SC Owner's Manual

yeah, I looked into it. Said manual for my year (2026) wasn’t available. Anyway, just a pain in the ass
  5. Order in production for 12 days with no update

Had a similar experience with a Bronco I ordered this year. Was “in production” for several weeks, then magically changed to “shipped” one day. I don’t think the dealers really know anything or have any inside information. I’m sure your car is fine and will be shipped any day.
  6. Dark Horse Mustang SC Owner's Manual

Really wish Ford would provide a hard copy with the cars or upon request. These electronic versions kinda suck. Yes, I know you can search for key words, etc, but there’s no substitute for having the book in your hand…
  7. What areas do you think PPF is essential on?

Just did mine. Full front incl hood, mirrors, then ceramic on the rest. I like it. Paid about $3000 w/ 5 year warranty on the ceramic. Wrap entire car would have been $6000ish. here is a thread I posted about mine...
  8. Paint Protection Film (PPF) over hood decals

Was nervous about getting PPF over the hood decals and was debating whether to go over or cut around them. Main concern was that the ridge of the decal would cause a small gap that would be visible and possibly trap water. Discussed with the installer and he assured me that the gap wouldn’t...
  9. Just Registered for Dark Horse Track Attack

Been thinking of registering. Hoping they add some dates in October as I will already be traveling back east at the time. Anyone know if they’ve done October dates in the past?
  10. Why aren't you changing your own oil?

I’ve always changed my own. that said, when I did my first oil change on the DH a month or so back, I thought, “this is the biggest pita oil change I have ever done…” Removing the felt undercarriage cover really sucks. I reinstalled it but I have half a mind to leave it off next time. Do they...
  11. Would straight pipe sound ok

Not sure anyone has done this. The x or H pipe is actually better for performance on the dyno however so not sure why you would want to? That said, the actual performance gains are slight, so probably not noticeable, but the kits for x and h are out there and relatively cheap, so seems...
  12. Redefining what a Mustang GT is "supposed" to sound like?

Video is interesting but also a little grating. The narration and the video images are often completely disjointed. It’s like someone is just reciting a bunch of stories and facts over a bunch of stock engine assembly footage. if this was a high school project, I’d give it a C.
  13. Ford Performance Racing School is now Wheelhouse Racing School

Hopefully they stick with the invites…it wasn’t a deciding factor when I purchased my DH, but after reading about it on this forum, definitely would like to go…seems like a fun experience and focused on our actual vehicles. I guess I won’t get my hopes up…
  14. Anyone regrats their DH purchase?

I have a DH with a stick. Quite honestly it is the easiest stick shift car I have ever driven. Almost feels like cheating to be honest…so easy to drive. Let my 18 yo Daughter drive it when I first brought it home and she made the same comment. Very forgiving and a ton of nanny features...
  15. Introductions & Welcome Thread đź‘‹

New member here. Picked up a 26 Dark Horse in Phoenix, AZ on 1/31 and drove it back to the Bay Area, CA. Was a blast. Love the car. A little more refined than its 66 Grandpa. Grandpa gets to keep the garage…young buck has to live in the driveway. Lol
