My thoughts exactly. A little shorter trip but I bought my stang in Phoenix AZ and drove it about 900 miles back to the Bay Area, CA. It was a blast. I bought this car so I could drive it, not put it on a trailer!

I agree with the “sweet spot” conclusion. I use my DH as a daily driver. It has 500 HP….an absolute massive amount of power….i got the thing for 75k out the door with all taxes and fees. Just a hell of a deal all things considered. The SC adds hundreds of HP, tens of thousands of dollars...

Had a similar experience with a Bronco I ordered this year. Was “in production” for several weeks, then magically changed to “shipped” one day. I don’t think the dealers really know anything or have any inside information. I’m sure your car is fine and will be shipped any day.

Really wish Ford would provide a hard copy with the cars or upon request. These electronic versions kinda suck. Yes, I know you can search for key words, etc, but there’s no substitute for having the book in your hand…

Just did mine. Full front incl hood, mirrors, then ceramic on the rest. I like it. Paid about $3000 w/ 5 year warranty on the ceramic. Wrap entire car would have been $6000ish. here is a thread I posted about mine...

Not sure anyone has done this. The x or H pipe is actually better for performance on the dyno however so not sure why you would want to? That said, the actual performance gains are slight, so probably not noticeable, but the kits for x and h are out there and relatively cheap, so seems...

Video is interesting but also a little grating. The narration and the video images are often completely disjointed. It’s like someone is just reciting a bunch of stories and facts over a bunch of stock engine assembly footage. if this was a high school project, I’d give it a C.

Hopefully they stick with the invites…it wasn’t a deciding factor when I purchased my DH, but after reading about it on this forum, definitely would like to go…seems like a fun experience and focused on our actual vehicles. I guess I won’t get my hopes up…

I have a DH with a stick. Quite honestly it is the easiest stick shift car I have ever driven. Almost feels like cheating to be honest…so easy to drive. Let my 18 yo Daughter drive it when I first brought it home and she made the same comment. Very forgiving and a ton of nanny features...
