Info: when I initially setup forscan, I had the ABS pump fuse pulled. The IPMa/b module is on the same fuse (it seems). This meant that the database of stored, accessible modules was saved without the IPMa/b, and it never showed up again.
Deleting the profile and re-learning the vehicle...
I have the same problem. I can write to several other modules without issue, but the bdycm won't write a single thing.
Can anyone else using forscan confirm an ability to write to the bodycm on the 2024?
I didn't even realise it at first, until I started to check after a write attempt and...
They list specific adapters on the website. If you're not using them, then use them. ODBII adapters aren't enough, and the website is very, very clear on this. I bought the cable they suggest from Amazon, and it works perfectly.
I can save to most modules, using the latest version, except...
Not sure where to put this, I guess this is the best forum location.
Below, you will see 2 pics of my 2024 Mustang. The one at night is being hit with IR from my security camera.
I've never seen this with any other car, even ones driving by my cameras. It's weird. It's reflecting IR in a...
I've read of the dyno plug in a few places, such as this thread:
https://trackmustangsonline.com/threads/dyno-plug-and-traction-stability-control-whats-the-deal.19942/
I tried pulling it today, but it really did .. nothing I could detect. Traction control definitely still worked.
Anyone...
OK, Ford, thanks for the time waste. This is an end-of-run 2024, and there are still errors in the user manual??
Borked Ford CAN/US manuals have the fusebox orientation upside down. Here it is corrected for front/back under-hood orientation:
Here's the Australian version:
You may say...
Dug a bit more into this.
One thing that is helpful is to right click on an image in the web version, and 'view image in new tab' if your browser supports it. Then remove the 'w=600&' part of the url, which makes it only 600 wide.
Here it is with the w=600& removed, and you can now see numbers...
A good try, but it seems to have to do with leaving the parking brake on while driving.
In IPC there's "electric parking brake" enable/disable, and I disabled it. It's now gone from the driver cluster, and no sounds happen. It acts normally otherwise, including auto-release.
In as I can hear...
Roadpilot, oh if only I could. But if I could ignore things I didn't want to hear, I wouldn't be trying to disable a parking brake nag noise, ROTFL!
edit: Oh an actual feature. OK, noted, thanks. Greg was OK about it though.
MyTwoCents, thanks! Not sure how I missed that, maybe I was...
Greg, saying I do not apply the brake on a flat surface, doesn't mean I don't apply it on an inclined surface, or that I only park on flat surfaces.
It doesn't matter why it annoys me, or if you care, or if you think I shouldn't care. Telling me to "obey the car" is not helpful. This is the...
I did not say I never apply the brake, or infrequently, instead I said I do not apply it when not required. Regardless of your opinion versus my opinion, having the car nag me on exit AND entry, loudly, is just plain absurd and ridiculous.
Hoping someone has a forscan suggestion.
Hi,
Removed a few things that were annoying, mostly chimes. (In older, and I mean OLDER pre-90s cars, I'd just pull the entire buzzer out from the fuse box.)
One thing that annoys, is the unnecessary nag to turn on the e-brake. I've driven manuals my entire life, and I never ever apply the...
Essentially, the fuses are wrong for any manual I try to obtain via normal means. That is, the manual in the centre console, the manual on Ford CA or COM with my VIN, or just picking the 2024 manual. I did find this manual as verified correct for at least some fuse locations...
First I likely need to mention this, lest others mock me as some sort of Luddite. I'm in computing, am an expert in multiple sub-fields, and eat tech like it's pizza. With extra cheese. Yum.
Point is I've spent my entire life embracing tech, but from where I sit it is over-used, over...
These diagrams for the F150 don't really clarify the actual mechanism at the brake end. But still interesting. https://www.f150forum.com/f118/electronic-parking-brake-problems-522588/
To clarify a bit, pulling fuse 5(Automatic brake system pump) in the 2023 is all that is required. Pulling this fuse leave the ABS module active and running, which is likely why proportioning functionality is still there.
This fuse is the same label as 29 in the 2024, so as with the 2023, most...
