  1. Video of Gen 4 Coyote Differences (mostly F150, some references to Mustang)

MAF sensors are why I stopped using oiled filters (like K&N) as contamination from the oil can cause a lean condition. I've been reluctant to use them (oiled filters) ever since.
  2. Video of Gen 4 Coyote Differences (mostly F150, some references to Mustang)

Good to see one torn down, hope they provide an update incorporating Mustang specific Gen 4 changes.
  3. Chipped Windshield

Here in AZ, because of all the granite rock landscaping (too hot/dry for grass), we have a lot of glass impacts. It's very common to add $0.00 windshield deductible option on Auto Insurance Comprehensive coverage.
  4. Looking at 2024 Mustang GT premium

if you’re financing, the cut rate APR deals until 9/30 save thousands over current interest rates as well.
  5. Incentive Assistance

Last I checked you must take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 2024-09-30 for the cut rate financing (Program #20126). It originally ended before it was extended past July 8th, so it's been available for a while. They also had a trade in bonus of $750 if you're trading in another...
  6. Update to yesterday’s post regarding unsettling motion in rear suspension. DEALER LEFT BOLTS UNTIGHTENED

Great find, had that happen to me on a Jeep. Loose front hub bolts after having dealer replace axle seals under warranty. Caused enough deflection to the right front wheel to where the rotor was scraping against the caliper bracket. Took it to the CJDR dealer (service director and general...
  7. New Recall?

    I used these cars as a sample (V8's and Ecoboost): https://www.downtownford.ca/new/vehicle/2024-ford-mustang-gt-premium-id13260465.htm https://www.downtownford.ca/new/vehicle/2024-ford-mustang-ecoboost-id13044773.htm https://yorkdaleford.com/view/new-2024-ford-mustang-960213/...
  8. Issue after getting rear axel and hub replaced. Dealer refuses to diagnose.

Well you should be able to get in there and see if something doesn't seem right at least with respect to the IRS. While it's up in the air, may help to check play in all the flexible connections (control arms, links, subframe, differential carrier, etc.). I can't offer advice on Mustang rear...
  9. Issue after getting rear axel and hub replaced. Dealer refuses to diagnose.

Could it be from the sloppiness in the rear suspension? Best video on this is from Steeda with their "stop the hop" solution: https://www.steeda.com/Steeda-S550-Mustang-Stop-The-Hop-Starter-Kit-555-4455 That may also explain the alignment as Steeda recommends this (alignment) being done as...
  10. Space Age Manual Transmission

Yes it does help a lot for daily driving with all the traffic, intersections, distracted drivers, road rage, etc. So do the other features included with the manual, hill assist and bringing up the revs when starting in first gear as well as reverse. The only downside is getting ridiculed in...
  11. Coyote Oil Viscosity in High Temp Climates ?

That's interesting and explains a lot. I don't follow Euro spec. So Ford may be limited to API/ILSAC specs here in the USA. I believe SP GF-6a is limited to 0/5w-20, 0w/5w/10w-30.
  12. Coyote Oil Viscosity in High Temp Climates ?

Yeah, this is where I am confused. Motorcraft 5w-50 is an SN rated oil, not SP (while I can't find it's ILSAC rating, SN is generally GF-5). So Whipple isn't recommending to use oils specifically formulated to reduce LSPI (low calcium, etc.).
  13. OTA Insight

Wow, I’m currently at just over a month. My guess is I live in a bad cell area and downloading multiple Gigabytes of data over cellular will take a while. Just didn’t think it would be this bad. Do you live in a bad cell area?
  14. what oil does the factory put in the 2024 mustang gt

I'm in the category of over thinking it  It is the same spec for Ecoboost, which is more prone to LSPI (low speed pre-ignition) because it is both GDI and Turbocharged. https://www.enginelabs.com/engine-tech/oiling-systems/a-direct-injection-specific-oil-could-save-your-ecoboost-engine/...
  15. Would Bilsteins make a noticeable difference on my new GT?

Well, I duped myself into getting one. My 2022 Ecoboost felt more nimble and planted than the 2024 GT (not that it makes a difference, but they're both 6 speed manuals). So I thought, maybe this strut tower brace would stiffen things up. Butt dyno tells me zero difference, except it's a little...
  16. Official DARK MATTER GRAY Mustang S650 Thread

Job 1 (no start stop) 6 speed manual.
  17. Locking wheel nuts

The Ford McGard locking lug nuts and keys cannot take 150 ft lbs. My 2022 Ecoboost had to have all 5 cut off at local tire shop when my key destroyed itself (dealer made me purchase them to make the sale, on a good note they gave me two sets so I put one on eBay). I didn't even attempt to put...
  18. Lift pads vs jack pads

Has anyone who installed the jack pads also bought new frame/sub frame bolts vs. reuse the one-time use from factory?
  19. LMR's Labor Day Sale!

Very interested in the Jack Pads (vs. Jacking Rails).
  20. Adding Active Valve Exhaust to a non-AE

So in both of your cases, were the 3 additional wires (PR3Z-14A411-A * 2) + (PR3Z-14A411-C * 1) required to get power down to the actuators (PR3Z-5K245-B * 2)? Or did you find that even sending power to them is controlled by the stock S650 computer control system, so something else would be...
