I bought my 2024 for the same reason. I had two Shelby's and four BULLITTS. I got tired of the stick shift. The A-10 is so smooth and there's no way you can shift a manual as fast. If you want control, use the paddles! Honestly, many of the manual transmissions do not work very well. Yes, some...
My GT with 3:15 gears and A-10 has been showing between 19 and 21 mpg during the last tank of fuel. I've have been driving around town like "GRANDPA" since the car now has only 773 miles on it. I'm sure that if I get into it, I'll lose some MPG'S! So far so good!
Having owned a 2020 BULLITT and now a 2024 GT, both cars have good and bad. I liked the clean grille on the 2020. IMHO, the grille in the 2024 has way too much shiny black. I bought a black car to tone down the front appearance. The side of the 2024 is nicer and the tail on the 2024 has a slight...
I bought a Shadow Black GT since the rest of the color choices reminded me of a poor grade of PRIMER! Mustang has had so many beautiful colors in the past. Battleship Gray and Desert Tan are just plain ugly unless you are in the military!!
Maybe they are forcing all of us into Black, White or 18...
Ford should do a recall and fix this. After my MSRP of over $56K with little or no rebates, Ford now wants me to spend another $100 and time to fix their mistake.
As I've written before, I'm not really happy with the dash controls in my GT. I can understand the frustration of many people. I have a 2022 Chevy Equinox. The screen is simple and quick. The screen on my 24 GT reminds me of the old tube type radios that had to warm up to operate. When I start...
And BTW, if this is your "GET TO WORK CAR" what happens if you destroy an engine? I don't think your local Ford dealer has ten in stock! Do you have plan two to get yourself to work?
The only way I would buy the GT 350 is if it was a weekend fun car and I had very deep pockets to fix breakdowns.
I would go with the new GT that has a warranty and many nice features. Honestly there are many horror stories out there about the GT 350 engine. A friend of mine had two GT350's and both burned a lot of oil. I think your chances of getting a bad car are high. Also keep in mind that a Shelby is a...
After I read thru other posts it appears as though mounting Tender directly to the battery posts isn't a great idea since it might interfere with the Battery Control Module. I guess I'll use the fuse box positive and the ground post negative on the shock tower. I hope I can make it look neat...
Since I want a permanent mount hidden as much as possible, can I just use the two terminals on the battery under the battery cover and hide the wires? Any pictures of this install?
Maybe it has been covered but I couldn't find info by searching the site. Yesterday, I purchased a "BATTERY TENDER" brand 3 AMP Battery Charger and Maintainer.
In a few weeks my 2024 GT will be covered and put away in my home garage for the winter.
The unit has some selections. 12 Volt...
My 2024 seems a bit sluggish on a normal take off, set at normal. On the other hand, once the rpm's are up the car is fast. I would say it would smoke my 2008 GT500 (Stock 500 hp) without and problems.
The S650 has a great interior. I'm not in love with the dash but I'm sure the X-Box crowd gets...
Honestly, you will have as much fun with the Base model. It all depends on what you want in a car. If you are buying to road race, track, or drag strip, get the Base. If you intend to mod it, get the base. If you aren't into motorsports and want a comfortable car for trips and daily driving, get...
Hello! Came over from 6G. Most recent Mustangs, 2008 Shelby GT500 and 2020 BULLITT. I've had 7 Mustangs, all great cars, really enjoyed all of them.
I'm 78 and retired military. Car cruises in Western PA keeps me busy.
The attached picture of a members car caught my eye, so I bought a twin!!!
Here's an answer. In July 2024, I traded my 2008 Shelby for a 2024 GT Premium, Shadow Black/Charcoal Interior, Bronze Package, A-10 Auto, Variable Exhaust, Brembo Brake Package. My car was a bit over $56K MSRP. No cost paint, no 3:55 rear axle.
I have about 500 miles on the car at this point...
Leave the car as is if you don't use it as a drag or track car. You will have a rough ride and squeaky poly bushings. You don't go to the track or drag strip every day. Changing one or two things will probably not benefit you.
