Thanks for this post, which enabled me to order my Valentine 1, gen2 radar detector. The blendmount comes Friday but I will get the detector and mirror wire tap tomorrow so I can do the hardwiring prior and be ready for the Blendmount. This forum is awesome! Thank you Interstellar.

Definitely my dealership was asleep on this one. My understanding is that there is a 30,000.00 fine for a dealership selling the car like this. Essentially, I could have kept the car, and they would be in a pickle. But I could also potentially have been killed in the rain as well.
