I’ve had many muscle cars and have joined forums for each of my Ford and GM cars.
One constant I find is that someone will always comment how a particular subject has been beaten to death. Never fails. I look at it differently. Each inquiry is based on a new car acquisition or just somebody...
I read too much about hydro lock with these systems. As a daily driver, rain and huge puddles will be present and the risk of water entering the engine occurring is enough for me to pass on the debatable gains in cold air from open heat shields, hp and sound gains. The hood heat extractor being...
I'm about to order mine. I'm just waiting for the radar detector refund to leave its "pending status' on my card. About the noise-everything I've watched on YouTube says the sound is better than stock, which has the closed boxes. The sound of rushing air is louder and supposedly improves the...
I looked through the trunk lid threads and didn't see a "how to", on aligning your own trunk lid. Is it too difficult to do yourself? If anyone has a link that I couldn't find on how to do this, please repost it here. Thank you, guys.
Thanks for this post, which enabled me to order my Valentine 1, gen2 radar detector. The blendmount comes Friday but I will get the detector and mirror wire tap tomorrow so I can do the hardwiring prior and be ready for the Blendmount. This forum is awesome!
Thank you Interstellar.
Hi All-I got my car back. The BCM was good with no corrosion, and they put sealant on the areas where water could possibly seep in. The job was done neat as far as I could tell. I looked inside the passenger side all around the footwell. All the panels were secure as well. Under the hood is not...
I am using mine as a daily driver and the V8 is the way to go. The power and sound is amazing and these cars can be driven mildly when needed. That said, I've owned a number of 4 banger Mustangs and Firebirds, but they were always lacking in power and sound, even though they were better on gas...
Excellent then. I'm looking forward to getting the car back hopefully today!
Thank to everyone hear for your knowledge and experience. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I'm fine with an inspection and getting the car back. I am hopeful of that. They are however going to test for water ingress and if it doesn't pass the test, they won't give the car back. They would then be liable if they gave the car back and fined by Ford I imagine. If the car doesn't pass the...
The last thing I want to do is to return the Mustang. I only talk about cancelling the deal because I was told by the sales manager that if the module fails their testing for leakage, then returning the car would be a possibility. Do they already know it needs a module; I don't know, but they...
The sales manager said they would refund my money so yeah, I'm counting that as a cancellation of the sale. Also, if the modular is corroded, there is not a replacement until sometime this quarter which is why I believe the sales manager gave that as a possibility. I didn't particularly like...
Definitely my dealership was asleep on this one. My understanding is that there is a 30,000.00 fine for a dealership selling the car like this. Essentially, I could have kept the car, and they would be in a pickle. But I could also potentially have been killed in the rain as well.
