From Juggernaut Performance Tuning’s Facebook:
“We've already dug into the new Dark Horse SC calibration. It's safe to say it's going to be making pretty much the same rated power as the GTD. Extremely impressive but also extremely familiar. Our base tuning is already done and ready as soon as...
That’s great, but it’s in reference to the regular Dark Horse that is naturally aspirated. That would be a little more eye opening if it was being compared to the last gen GT500.
I agree, and I think it’s the plastic grill inlets/openings. If they would have went gloss black or used the same material from the S550 GT500 it would’ve looked more premium.
I think the car is great in terms of capability and looks (front bumper still looks a little cheap), but many of us are not sold on the name. Time will tell though. Farley alluded to no flagships names in the future, but with the possibility of emission standards being decommissioned...
Getting rid of the heritage names that have made them immensely successful and kept them in business for 60+ years is the very reason they will become extinct..
Go ahead and watch this. Farley just said “no, we live in the future” in reference to seeing a Cobra or Boss down the line.
What a let down. It makes zero sense to walk away from what made the Mustang so iconic and famous to begin with.
Don’t understand why they’re willing to go in on carbon wheels and brakes, but then skimp out and throw plastic at the bumpers and side skirts. At least make the plastic gloss black for a more premium look. And the front looks kinda cheap/sporty IMO.
I spoke with Farley two months ago. And he mentioned 890 hp but I’m not sure if he was referring to this model or not. Most likely was referring to the new “Legend” model or another vehicle.
I do, and they look still like carbon ceramics. Doesn’t mean I’m not wrong, but it’s the most logical spot to shed weight because it’s not going to receive the carbon fiber diet like the GTD did.
The rotor hat looks black, and I doubt they would go back to crossed drilled. They cracked on the GT350’s and they switched to slotted for 2019-20 models.
Sliver of a hope this isn’t the only road legal Stang they reveal. That wing the test mule had certainly wasn’t the GT500 wing they’re using on the DH SC.
I’m sure it’ll be a helluva car in terms of capability and performance, but this new trend Ford is trying to push with the Mustang is missing the mark in my opinion. Give the people what they want, a Cobra or Boss variant. And if they're going to introduce a new name to the lineup, give it a...
