Looks like 86 dB is Track mode, not bad! Keeps it street legal and hearing safe. Suppressed 5.56 is still 130-140 dB so that's a big difference.
Last time I ran at Lapeer was in 2018 right before they sold it and redid everything, but from 2004 to 2018 the track conditions were OK with some...
Nice videos! That's my local track as well.
What happened to that other car in your last video?
Did you run the 1/4 mile with your exhaust in the open position with the active valve system? It still seemed very tame.
I'm reading a few of the magazine tests for the 2024 Mustang GTs and Dark Horse, and they're in the mid 12s for the 1/4 mile and low 4s for the 0-60. Yet I hear people are taking them to the track and running like 11s "stock" - some then explain they removed the rear seats/spare, or went with a...
The new app is garbage. Lost a lot of details, vehicle health is "temporarily unavailable" so I can't see odometer mileage - but it is available online at Ford's website for my vehicle.
Apple Watch app doesn't work anymore, keeps saying vehicle connectivity disabled. It worked fine the night...
Reading the GT350 oil temp thread, that coincides with what I have read about engine oil temps in general... That the max they tend to reach is about 260F under heavy loads. But 220-230F is more inline with "normal" conditions. This assumes the OEM designed the heat rejection correctly with the...
I've used Battery Tenders for almost 20 years. Some I have kept on batteries almost 24/7/365. They maintain the batteries at 13.1 VDC with 50mA-150mA to fight off parasitic drain, but they don't overcharge the battery. IMHO they are the gold standard for maintainers.
I remember when the Camaro ZL1 came with their 10L90, the magazines said it shifted faster than the McLaren's DCT... yet Ford's 10R80 at the time had so many complaints about bad shifting.
