No doubt there will be an EV Mustang coupe / convertible. My question when that happens, what happens to the Mach-e. Does it evolve into an EV Explorer?
So, if an EV Mustang coupe/convertible happens in 2028 (as 2029 model), what happens to the Mach-e? Does it become an EV Explorer? EV Escape? EV Edge? Or does it continue as the Mache-e?
Assuming by 2028, the Mach-e and Mustang coupe will use the same platform, the Mustang coupe will have...
Read the fine print on the tax credits. There's a lot of things that have to be met (like battery materials, where batteries are manufactured, where the vehicle is produced, etc.) to qualify for the credit. Also, the tax credit cannot exceed your tax liability. Let's say the vehicle meets all...
The Mach-e is fine. But, why a 4 door cross over (EPA classifies as a small station wagon). Needs to be a 2 Door Coupe / Convertible to be Mustang. And interior instrumentation / info system needs to be more Mustang like, not trying to copy Tesla.
EV's are here, but they aren't mainstream yet. Current buyers are people who want the latest and greatest technology, e.g. those that trade their iPhones every year. To reach the mass consumers, EVs will have to overcome a lot of hurdles. Range, long charging times, lack of infrastructure...
I'm curious, now that Ford-e has been announced, what will be the next all electric vehicle Ford will come out with after the Mach-e, Lightning, and e-Transit?
I'm curious if rising gas prices will hasten the migration to EVs or will it lead to more drilling, fracking, etc. I may be wrong, but if consumers can't fill their gas tanks, they're going to call for lower gas prices instead of calling for more EVs.
Faster chargers are coming at some point

And solid state batteries will also offer faster charging whenever they get here.
Until then ICE and...
Thanks. 8" would be fine; it could be integrated into the dash. Current, Mustang has 8" screen on premium. The Mach-e is 15.5" and the one in the image is 27" from side to side.
FYI. Here's interior of the new Ford Fusion / Zephyr for China market. Certainly, Ford would not put a pillar-to- pillar screen in the new Mustang?? It's way too much and doesn't go with a Mustang. I guess anything is possible after they stuck that humongous screen in the Mach-e (to mimic...
I read the article that indicated S650 will be released early next year (2023) as MY 2024. Does that mean there will be a shorten 2023 model year for the S550? I know the chip shortage and pandemic have led to delays, but an introduction of the S650 next year as a 2023 MY would make more...
Interesting video. There were comments about hybrid 2023 Mustang. Also said fewer availability of 2022 Mustangs. This dealer said they would only take orders for 2022 Mustang GTs with performance package, i.e. Mustangs he could sell (I guess if buyer cancels order). Implies that his...
I believe someone else mentioned this. Exterior looks good, but please Ford, do not use the interior of the Mach-e, specifically the huge infotainment screen stuck on the dash.
On the contrary I love the Mach-e. If I was in a market for a SUV, it would definitely be on my short list. But, for now I'm in the market for a sports coupe. I fully understand the branding / marketing angle. So, if we have a Mach-e SUV and potentially a 4 door Mustang. What will a...
Nothing wrong with a 4 Door, maybe call Mach-s to go with the SUV Mach-e. The renderings show a very good looking vehicle. But, the Mustang should and will remain a 2 door coupe.
