I can speak for myself: I wouldn't let tires be a deciding factor on a $60-70K+ purchase. I wanted a GT with DH optional HP wheels and tires set. So I bought a GT, and brand new take off wheels and tires set for cheap.

My car still has less than 1 Kmiles on it. I am in "Normal" mode and have not even tried other modes. Have not exceeded 3.5K RPM or 65 mph. But I let you know in a little bit :-D

Got mine from famous auction site. $76 USD. Weight is exactly same as stock shift knob. It is a larger diameter than original GT and DH. That is what I wanted.
