  1. Has anyone purchased a maintenance plan recently?

You might want to get a quote from Granger and use the price as a bargaining chip with your dealerships. It's $25 over dealer cost. My dealer kept telling me that that price was below his cost and I could never get that cheap. He lied.
  2. Has anyone purchased a maintenance plan recently?

Check with Granger Ford. You'll get a better price. I purchased both plans for 10 years, 100,000 miles. My back is screwed up and I can't do much maintenance myself anymore. I'm 79 and this may well be my last car. I paid less for both plans than my dealer wanted for one plan.
  3. Lane keep assist with 401a

I think Ford did a crappy job with names. Start-Stop shuts the engine off when you're stopped and turns it back on when you hit the gas. Stop & Go is part of the adaptive cruise control. If set it follows the car in front of you at a set distance and if that car comes to a complete stop you...
  4. Hitting redline before 1000 miles

The 5.0 is assembled in Windsor Ontario. We need someone from final test to speak up. For sure once the engine is hooked up to the dyno the test program will run it WOT multiple times. They don't baby it during final. The program is designed to make sure the engine is running within specs and...

  9. Did anyone get a pic of their car being built?

Try the late 60s-mid 70s. It was a different world then. Mustangs were assembled in B-building in the Rouge.
  10. Did anyone get a pic of their car being built?

Back in the day when you had to be a salaried employee to get A plan, I can't remember for sure either pay grade 7 or 8, you could walk your car down the line as it was being built.
  11. GT delivered yesterday

Have fun, BUT PUT THE TOP DOWN!
  12. Top will not go up

I have not had that problem but on three occasions while raising the top it appeared to get stuck and stopped moving. The last section was just unfolding. After releasing the button and hitting it again it came up. It was at the same point of the cycle all three times. I have had the car since...
  13. Engine additives?

Many of the articles I've read on oil filters claim that the biggest problem with off- brand filters is a leaking drain back valve.
  14. Virus

I don't know if it was just me or what. When I opened the app from my email this a.m. I ended up with a virus. Every time I tried to close a tab it just replicated and my computer froze. Wouldn't respond to any commands. Shut it down and cleaned it out. Did anyone else have this problem? /
  15. Updated Ford Pass app

Backwards into the future. So instead of adding, improving, and making it more user-friendly, they removed features. WTF is wrong with you FoMoCo?

  18. Is Paint Protection Film (PPF) worth it?

To early to tell if it was worth it. I had the the whole front end including the A-pillars, the top of the windshield, and the bottom of the rear quarters behind the wheels covered with PPF. The rest of the car was ceramic coated. Looks spectacular. My detailer does not ceramic coat the PPF...
