  1. Anyone know what kind of car this is.

Not to mention repair costs. Bespoke cars, limited numbers, big bill for a new bumper...
  2. EDMUNDS U-DRAGS: Ford Mustang Dark Horse vs. Dodge Charger Daytona EV

The market will not support a $70K electric muscle car, so the price reduction seems appropriate. I saw a nice new red R/T for $41K.
  3. Wondering how many other owners have interior buzzes and rattles

I have a driver side rattle that pops up occasionally, seems to be coming from the B pillar, and it can be pretty noisy.
  4. What else would you purchase?

You have the Nissan Z400, 2024 Challenger (there are some new ones about), Mazda MX-5, Toyota Supra...
  5. Anyone know what kind of car this is.

Well a gently used Vantage can be picked up for around 90K, its almost the same car, a V8 instead of a V12, but it is an Aston Martin, and a looker for sure.
  6. Another dire sales report [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

So how does Mustang keep pace in demand with say a Porsche 911? The 911 sold around 14000 in 2024, vs 44000 for the Mustang. The Mustang is not a prestige car, the 911 is. Do we want the Mustang to become a prestige car, well I can't imagine why? So how does a company increase sales for a...
  7. Sexy New Farrari V12!

The Berlinetta would be my second choice. :)
  8. Sexy New Farrari V12!

The 599 is still my favorite 12cyl Ferrari.
  9. "This is what I needed" - Richard Hammond reviews a Dark Horse Mustang

I enjoyed Hammond's review. This other crap is not "what I needed", please take it to another thread.
  10. Happy New Year!

May all your cylinders be 8 (or 4 if you're so inclined), and may your exhaust notes wake the neighbors, if they sleep in after 9!
  11. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the next-generation, all-electric version of the Dodge Charger, and is expected to be the world's quickest

Time will tell regarding EVs. No shade to the F-150, it does what it was designed for, and reliably.
  12. Auto stop start on a 2025 GT premium.

Well, in 30 years, those who have the early versions without stop/start looking to sell these as "classics" can claim it as an "enhancement". Maybe I should hold onto mine...
  13. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the next-generation, all-electric version of the Dodge Charger, and is expected to be the world's quickest

Range will increase; heavy use vehicles are a work in progress. You are using a metric to compare IC tech to EV tech as they are now; EV tech is in its infancy, IC is not.
  14. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the next-generation, all-electric version of the Dodge Charger, and is expected to be the world's quickest

EVs pollute a lot less, once they are made and assuming carbon costs of electricity are partly mitigated by the method of power generation. Carbon footprint is better on EVs but it's not green by a long ways; now if you start making the majority of electricity with renewables that have less...
  15. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the next-generation, all-electric version of the Dodge Charger, and is expected to be the world's quickest

In the not too distant future, say 20 years, lithium is probably going to be replaced, perhaps by aluminum, perhaps high density capacitors/non-liquid electrolytes will become viable, so hopefully the notorious safety issues from rechargeable batteries may be mitigated.
  16. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the next-generation, all-electric version of the Dodge Charger, and is expected to be the world's quickest

Dodge warranties their hybrid batteries for 10 years/100,000 miles; I don't know what the warranty will be for these, but it's probably the same. Power train should be similar to current cars, 5 years/60,000 miles. Battery replacement is pretty rare though, but time will tell; I am not going...
  17. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the next-generation, all-electric version of the Dodge Charger, and is expected to be the world's quickest

The Dodge has a universal platform, rather than one dedicated to electric power, so they can use the six cylinder engine. Weight savings with more aluminum, integrating the battery into the frame, and using compact components (vs. having bulky motors and a two speed transmission) could have...
  18. The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is the next-generation, all-electric version of the Dodge Charger, and is expected to be the world's quickest

In related news, the ICE I6 "Sixpack" version is being fast tracked for summer's end 2025. The EV is estimated to have a curbweight of 5800lbs; the Sixpack is estimated to be around 4200lbs.
  19. Hot take the s650 is better looking than the s550

The S550 was the first Mustang I saw since the 1st gen that I thought was a really nice design. Once the S650 design and new interior were revealed, I was sold. In terms of edge, I would agree that the front and rear are more angular, but the side to me is the real improvement because there...
