Thanks Sofa King. I’ll get on that and hopefully it will be fine! Part number that I have ordered is F2GZ1A189G - directly from Ford. None of the others have it handy.
The retrain tool failed to communicate with the sensor that was reporting the fault. It however could communicate to the one which was reporting fine as the horn did sound.
Do I need to replace all 4 sensors or just one sensor that is reporting the fault?
note - the other 3 are showing up on my...
thanks mate! I’ll follow the procedure for the relearn once I get the tool. I was hoping it would relearn itself.
Let’s see how we go! Will keep you posted.
Cheers!
thank you for the quick response. I’m unsure how to figure out the part number I had this happen while on stock wheels and tires. It just came up when I was on a spirited drive. Tire pressures are normal and only one wheel - PF is reporting error(screen has - -)
I have ordered that —>...
the video link really helped thanks.!
Could you please clarify what you meant when you said
“but I did the reset method to re-sync them where the vehicle beeps twice at the end. It seemed to work and relearned the wheels (TPMS fault went away also)”
did you not use the tool and the car...
Heated and cooled seats, turn signals on the side mirrors, memory seats, powered seats, powered lumbar support should also be added to it. I feel putting down 1.6k for recaros and losing out on the above options is not really a sensible decision. I always run cold - so heated seats were a deal...
Nice! I’m thinking about sticking some heat barrier tape around the plastic sleeve and the clip and cover them up. Just to be on the safer side. Close to headers and plastic clips is just scary tbh.
One track session of 20 min and the headers will be cooking.
+1 to the design being questionable tbh. If you look at it closely, the clip is held to the tubes by plastic - even though the tube is insulated / the plastic is not. Excessive temperatures could cause the plastic to melt and eventually get dislodged from the clip and voila - we have the same...
@jesuschristsupercar - could you please edit your initial post of this thread and add the service procedure @RiksDH has posted here, thanks. It will save all of us a lot of time and effort for this recall.
thank you all again for the support and sense of community. This is the power of being in...
As per the service procedure posted earlier by RiksDH - as long as hand pressure is unable to dislodge it from the stud in the firewall - it should be good.
in other words / no wiggle/play should be noticeable on the retaining clip.
Thanks for all the inputs - mine looks good from the get go.
There is more than an index finger clearance for me from the headers, zero wiggle/play in each of the studs too.
wonder if I email my dealership - they will clear the Recall for me- not too sure.
ps - I really do not want to leave...
Understood - thanks for the inputs. I just want to make sure that the techs at my dealer don’t eff anything else up.
Will take it to make sure whatever needs to be closed in relation to the recall is taken care of. Thanks for the response.
