I would agree in the case of a high performance tire or drag radial.
But for a non-performance application, I disagree.
Tire shops used plugs for years before patches became common. I know, I've watched them do it. The first time I saw a patch applied was about 15 years ago.
It all depends...
I have heard in multiple forums that Ford has a history of not building their Higher Performace vehicles (Mach 1, GT350, GT500) from November to February due to the Summer Only tires.
Someone reported that when they talked to Ford Chat, they said the same for the DH...
It already happened. I saw a review and the front bumper cover was damaged due the transport offload ran into the car in front of it, damaging both cars.
Great car! I'm really glad for Pyroguy that he got his Dark Horse!!
Unfortunately, there are many others that ordered the same spec car over 5 months ago and have not even been scheduled to be built yet!
I have talked to Ford Chat 3 times, first two, my status was "Unscheduled- Clean".
Last week it was "Currently waiting to be scheduled and placed in the first available production week!"
I am still trying to understand if this essentially the same, or is it a significant change.
It is in the exterior options section.
GT comes standard with mini spare (It doesn't give the specs):
It gets deleted with the Performance Pack:
It also gets deleted if the Brembos are added:
From everything I have read, they are going to strike at all three, even if it is only one holding up negotiations. A hardcore peer pressure.
I will believe no strike when on September 15th, they announce no strike.
That said, there is no scheduling at Ford for the next production weeks. That...
What happened to "From the dig" runs?
What she said is very true. If both get decent traction, the Dark Horse is going to be quicker, then the GT350 will run it down, but will it be enough to catch it in the quarter?
The fact it even stayed with the GT350 is good enough for me.
Yeah, the Trofeos are designed more for increased traction in agressive handling.
For drifting, I would imagine a really sticky tire is less than desirable, LOL!!
So the tires on the Ecoboost PP, or GT PP (Includes Drift Brake) would likely be much better suited for drifting.
Better yet...
Just make sure and look up the Trofeo "RS" versions used on the DH HP.
The "R" versions are the earlier ones and are really for track use only and not suitable for street use.
Reading though this is painful in the extreme.
Test numbers are just that, test numbers. In most cases, they have absolutely no value in the real world. 95% of people will never make use of those capabilities.
You could put 100 people in the same car on the same day with the same conditions...

Compared to last contract:
I always keep mine hand tight after twice discovering the threads broken off right at the shank, leaving the entire threaded section in the base.
It is a real pain to get that threaded piece out of the base.
It is worth the risk of getting it stolen, also happened twice. But I have picked up...
Apparently not. I just ran through the configurator for a GT and added the 20" wheels, then tried to add just the performance spoiler. And it forces me to remove the 20" wheels and other parts and add the 19" PP wheels which are part of the PP so it adds the PP also:
You might have to have...
I'm trying to get my head around how not responding (GM) or making what to the UAW considers an unreasonable response (STLA) to union demands constitutes unfair labor practices.
