Just a thought.. maybe there was limited initial capacity for the appearance and handling packages and the early orders have already filled up capacity.
It sounds like you're good to go until Ford starts building our cars. You should get an email from Ford when your car is scheduled for production and is assigned a VIN. At that point you can track your progress here: https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking#/
It may be several weeks before...
As long as you have an order number from your dealer and a confirmation email from ford that's about all you can do. We just wait till ford starts/schedules production.
Did your dealer take your info for the Customer Order Verification Program? Usually a drivers license and contact info. You...
I contacted Ford about the X-Plan for 2024. This the response I got back:
Thank you for contacting AXZ Program Headquarters.
We appreciate your interest in the Ford Mustang! That is an awesome vehicle!
We have not been advised of when the X-Plan pricing for the 2024 MY Ford Mustang will be...
Basically it's the Motorcraft version of paint sealant and Scotchgard.
I have seen comments on other forums of prices as low as $500 (in fairness that was 2 years ago, inflation is a harsh mistress). Im sure it's worth someting, but $1500 seems steep. I had my 2020 frontend PPFed and the...
It’s my understanding that the priority is only relative to your dealer. Dealers can set a custom order between 10 and 19 (or something like that). So if your dealer has several orders and yours was 10 and mine was 19, Ford would try to build yours first all other things being equal.
For a...
Ford has a similar process. You should get an email with your VIN and scheduled build date a few weeks in advance. It’s my understanding that early production starts in mid April.
My guess is these are the optional wheels for the performance pack.
I base that on this description in the order guide:
19" X 9" (F) 19" X 9.5" (R) Machined with Tarnished Dark Aluminum (644) Available on GT Performance Package (67J)
Are these percentages just for the early production/allocation?
It looks like true “custom” orders are not being taken till April 17th with the build and price Phase 2. It would suck to loose out on my build if my local dealer will not take my order till 4/17.
