Awesome time. Cant wait to drive mine.....sometime next summer.
It annoys me in this video and the last one they are saying s650 gt is slower than s550. They tested a pp2 gt s550, which became the mach 1, its really an unfair comparison.
I would think so. They didn't build the M1 HP from November until late March, so I assume the same for Dark Horse. I wouldn't get your hopes up until February at the earliest.
Hey Dennis, do you have the Handling Package by any chance? If so, and you are still unscheduled, they have announced they have delayed building these until April 2024 due to the Trofeo RS tire temperature requirements. This was also common with the Mach 1 Handling Package tires.
August was the...
They didn't annouce the Mach 1s until close to the Track Attack invites going out. They stated DH track attack dates and signup will be available in January, I would suspect that is when we will find out about an owner kit, if there is one.
Keep an eye out here...
They didn't produce the Mach 1 HP with Cup 2 and now the Dark Horse HP cars with Trofeo RS tires from November until April (or very late March for M1), but GT PP and base DH tires are not quite as aggressive and will be built year round. No worries for PP (or base DH)
Interesting. Would be curious to know if your build date is in October or November. So far, no one has been scheduled for November with the HP on any site I am a part of.
Did anyone get the 180 day email? I didn't on the 180th day nor yesterday, the 6 month mark of my order. I wonder if they are changing the system up at all?
Anyone else excited for the 180 day email tomorrow or Monday? I know I am. I'm sure I'll get a 360 day email when it's all said and done. Funny watching some others complaining about 6 month delivery time when mine wont be delivered for over a year.
True, though I'd still take the Dark Horse HP over either of those personally. Not a BMW fan and Im not fond of the base C8 either, they aren't out of my current price range. I'd probably lean toward a CT4-V Blackwing if I had to switch.
Either way, I have a price protected HP order at 71k that...
The DH in this video is short shifting like crazy and not pulling to HP peak, they should have used the paddles and forced it to stay in a lower gear. I doubt the GT or DH are either noticeably quicker at any given speed.
Yes there is a post that states as much, and I've seen many more stating they dont overheat in a typical HDPE session. Again, the CHT is not typically the reason GTs go into limp mode, its the diff temp, and the M1 diff cooler fixes that issue.
As soon as i get my car i do plan on tracking it...
The DH has a diff cooler, a transmission cooler, and an additional oil cooler like the Mach 1 and the GT350 track pack. Road course days are the reason you buy a DH over a GT. Im sure the DH will last longer than a GT.
That's interesting, ive read a lot of threads on M6G that say otherwise. The diff temp is typically what puts the s550 in limp mode, not the CHT temp. The Mach 1 does come with diff cooler, transmission cooler, and an additional oil cooler like the GT350 track pack. Ive seen threads stating they...
Congrats! This thread doesn't really apply to you, but I'm happy that you got your car so quickly. The rest of us will be waiting until next spring at the earliest.
Eh, the journalists ran them all day long at Charlotte with no issues, as told by the journalist themselves. Additionally, this was a huge selling point of the Mach 1, which has already been proven to run HDPE days with no overheating diffs etc, and this is a direct evolution of that car. I...
I had a whole post written up, but I dont want to stir anything up.
Ill say this. Dynos differ from day to day, and from dyno to dyno. Great tools for checking gains with mods. Not good for comparison across different dynos on different days.
Also, 1 gear difference to 1:1 on a dyno has been...
