People aren't buying a DH for 20 extra HP over a GT. That isn't going to stop them. It probably has more to do with warranty and the risks. The gains are minimal on non e85 tunes that it's probably not worth it to them. These engines are already nearly maxed out from the factory.

This has been an issue since at least the first gen of S550 platform. All of my Mustangs had it. All I had to do was twist the rubber bump stops under the hood to adjust them which pretty much gets rid of the problem.
