  1. Gas Mileage Comparison

Well, since I'm running the Whipple, I have to use 91 octane minimum, but we have 93 octane all over around here so that's what I run.
  2. Wireless Charger?

I'm really thankful that I found my '25 DHP. I'd have been totally disgusted if I'd found that they'd removed the Homelink a year before, I use it all the time! As for the wireless charging, my Pixel 8 Pro has a very big battery and I keep it in my shirt pocket. I think the phone has better...
  3. H-pipe resonator delete - who has done it?

My '25 DHP has a Lethal/Corsa 3" double H pipe with high flow resonators with a Whipple Stage one, vapor catch can, and a Steeda Stop-the-Hop kit. LOVE the sound. A low rumble with absolutely no raspiness. I detest the raspy sound and won't have it. Love how mine sounds now. Corsa seems to have...
  4. Inferred vs Actual Oil Temperature - Results

Good info. I'm happy to see the actual and inferred is pretty consistent within a reasonable margin of error. I'd be super curious to see the effect that ambient temperature has on the consistency of the values. What would 40°F do versus 100°F? I'm running 5W-50 Mobil 1 Supercar full synthetic...
  5. chasing my tail and it's driving me nuts

    I've been playing with my Gen 1 Mustangs since about 1975. I have a '67 S code fastback that has a 428 SCJ I picked up in the 1980's. I have a '72 Mach 1 351CJ C6 with a Detroit Locker and 3.90:1 gears. I also have a '72 convertible 351CJ Ram Air with a C6 and the CJ stall converter. 3.25:1...
  6. Steeda claims it, is it real world?

The Stop-the-Hop kit really works well. I have the 10R80 in my dark horse. Turn off the traction control and stall to about 2000 RPM. Then drop the hammer and release the brakes. It'll spin them in a very controlled manner and will go straight as an arrow.
  7. Steeda claims it, is it real world?

Add up all the extras you need to build a GT into a Dark Horse. There's a whole lot more going on than connecting rods. Magneride, wheels, the tires. Some stuff is even exclusive to the Dark Horse. Bottom line: compare apples to apples.
  8. Expected gain when tuning a stock manual GT?

I looked at tuning my '25 DHP. When I saw what a supercharger could do, that was all I needed to see. No regrets.
  9. Ford & Toyota Are Betting the Farm on the SAME Desperate HAIL MARY

I still call it Generic Motors after the homogenization of all their power trains. No more Buick engines or Cadillac engines just the same engines in everything.
  10. Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plans and 5w50 Synthetic Oil

That's different than the Mobil 1 Supercar oil I bought. Mobil 1 Supercar 5W-50 is an advanced full synthetic motor oil for high-performance vehicles. Check it out now! https://a.co/d/031HG5Vx
  11. Oil weight in warmer climates

Bear in mind that cars equipped with either a Ford Performance supercharger or a Whipple Stage 1 (basically the same thing) are recommended to use 5W-50 full synthetic.
  12. Wireless Charger?

Yeah, the wireless charger would be nice, but I really wanted the Home link as I use a garage door opener and love just pushing a built in button the open and close the garage. My '25 DHP has it and I'm so glad I got it. I was disappointed to hear it went away on the '26s.
  13. Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plans and 5w50 Synthetic Oil

If you're a DIY type, you can get 5W-50 Mobil 1 for $12.15/quart at Amazon. I just bought 12 quarts from them. Free delivery if you have Prime.
  14. Coyote vs Acme

Okay, I'm hooked. I gotta see this!
  15. Gas Mileage Comparison

I just hit 1000 miles on my '25 DHP 10R80 with a stage 1 Whipple with extra cooling, dual fans, Bosch high flow coolant pump, Lethal double H pipe with high flow resonators, vapor catch can, and a Steeda Stop-the-Hop kit. I cruise my neighborhood in Sport mode and a little bit of full throttle...
