We're not even into year 1 of S650 production and everyone thinks this is the G500 replacement. You think Ford is gonna leave a delta between a $70k DH and this $300k GTD? There will be plenty of other lesser models that will be released over the coming years that you guys can complain about.
No way they do another Bullitt. Last time around dealers were offering excess discounts on what was a special edition and they still had trouble moving them.
The S550 PP3 was about $1500 and came with the GT350 intake manifold. That had some solid gains up top. I currently run the PP2 and it was $600 and very well worth it. The performance gains were good, but the improvement in drivability is really what made it.
Yup, if it's just a simple software update to re enable it, why leave it out in the first place? AM radio is still useful for things like local news and weather alerts.
You also conveniently forgot the 911 GT3. Honestly not bad company to be in if Ford did do this.
Also BMW's don't have center exhausts out of the box. It is a factory aftermarket upgrade.
Beta testing is being incorrectly used here. An ICE car is not software. No one has ever said that the GT3 is beta for the GT3RS or GT2RS, or that the Mach 1 was beta for the Dark Horse.
All that happened here is Ford took what worked from the GT350 and used it for the GT500 (also vice versa...
What are people's thoughts on another GT350? Do you think Ford will release another one, especially now that the DH mostly occupies that space?
If so, will the new 5.4 that Ford is fielding in IMSA possibly be the powerplant?

Not being sarcastic here, but when was the last time a crate engine was announced and then a special edition car revealed afterward WITH said crate engine included? Isn't it usually the other way around?
