I’ve had a lot of issues with K&N filters on a number of tuner cars over about 15 years till I stopped using them. The oiled filters seem to always kill the MAF. I have had as many as 4 MAF replacements until I caught on. a high flow dry filter is my preference now, if not using OEM.

I found the rattle was the way the connector to the window/lock buttons is loose. I applied electrical tape to the connector and switch and rattle went away.
