Not that easy my friend. As mentioned in my earlier post - it's a lot of labor. Removed the diff myself for my gear guy and it was an 8 hour remove-and-install job, plus the gear labor. I called a number of shops but the two dealers I called didn't want to touch it.
And also as mentioned...
As I said, my understanding is that ESS doesn't offer an S650 kit yet but it might be worth checking into by one of you guys to see if they have one in the works. It's a great combination of power and drivability for about half the cost of a positive displacement blower.
I went from 3.73's to 4.09's in my 2018 GT, and feel like 4.09's are are the right answer for the MT-82 gearing. Going to 4.09's from 3.55's or 3.15's will really wake your cars up.
That said, it's expensive and tuning could be an issue. Lots of labor time and some dealers don't want to mess...
I only offer this as a data point, understanding that this is not an option for S650's YET, buy my ESS centri kit including Wengerd tune was $7,800 and easy enough to install myself. Hard to imagine that with their success with the S550's that a 650 kit wasn't in the works.
7G will probably start picking up. There is a lot less traffic these days in the what did you do to your Mach 1 today thread! We have become irrelevant 😂
FWIW my wife’s car got rear ended a couple yrs ago and I took it to one of the collision shops approved by the insurance company. The shop kept it a month and I wasn’t happy with the results so I complained to the insurance company. They said take it where I want and have them report any...
It’s not my daily and Pittsburgh winters suck. I drive it every time I feel like it, and when it’s not above about 45F I’d much rather drive the truck, big warm and comfortable.
Hang in there, it levels off, my 2021 with 8K miles is showing as $42K trade on KBB and it stickered for $60K. A little over a year ago I was offered $45K trade on a new DH so it hardly dropped at all from years 2 to 3.
Just noticed your username, brought me back 30+ years to my 1991 AWD Eagle Talon which at the time was pretty capable. My plate was 944 ETR (again at that time Porsche 944's were hot cars).
Was at a track day at Summit Point in West Virginia when this guy pulls up next to me in the tech area...
You would probably be better off finding one on a lot right now and getting it before winter... not sure if you were looking auto or manual.
