    Question about start-up chime/jingle

Yes, thank you. It SHOULD come on every time you push the start button. Here is an example at roughly 16:43 - As I say, it made this sound at the dealership when they were walking me through the OS. But ever since then it’s gone - it never plays at all now. I don’t know why. It has nothing to...

    Question about start-up chime/jingle

Well, I still don't know the answer to this. I still get the seatbelt chime, but that's not what I'm talking about here - I'm talking about the Mustang "drums" sound. I only heard it once when I took delivery of the car and never again. I'm wondering if there was a software update or something...

Potential steering issue on a brand new vehicle

I just want to thank everyone for your advice. I ended up in a bit of an argument with the dealership over this. However, despite them saying they don't re-calibrate the steering without doing the alignment itself... ironically, they ended up doing the alignment (it was within tolerance but...

    Not for everyone...

I have black lines on my driveway simply because it's quite a steep driveway and the tyres squeal and shudder a bit when I back down...

    S650 Annoying noises and rattles

This was an issue for me too. I was getting annoying rattling on the passenger side and it was just the belt. Also, to those who essentially say "just accept it" - I don't really think persistent rattles are acceptable in any modern car. Especially if that car is new. I just bought a Mustang a...

Potential steering issue on a brand new vehicle

Very interesting. Mine is with the service department right now. They told me there is nothing they can do - they assessed the wheel alignment and said it is correct. I asked them about resetting the steering angle sensor, and they insisted they won't do this unless they detect a wheel alignment...

How do we save the mustang?

That's still not much of a response. What are you saying? That EV incentives won't come back at all? That there won't be a transition away from ICE? I'm not going to pin this comment and wait two years, haha.

How do we save the mustang?

    What's funny? That's not really a response.

How do we save the mustang?

The EV incentives will only cease in the short term - they will come back at some point. Also, major global markets like the EU will soon outlaw all new ICE engines entirely, which will prompt vehicle manufactures to act. ICE engines are 100% on their way out; it's just a question of when, not if.

Potential steering issue on a brand new vehicle

Yep, I've done that (mostly because I didn't trust my initial intuition about it). I tested on a variety of roads just to be sure. It's definitely an issue.

Potential steering issue on a brand new vehicle

I find that I have to tilt the wheel very slightly to the left to keep it straight - maybe less than 5 degrees. It doesn't feel right. Hopefully they can sort it out. The dealership has already acknowledged the issue and said they'll correct it, so fingers crossed. It's a minor thing, but I also...

How do we save the mustang?

I agree. But I'm genuinely on the fence about whether or not the Mustang name should remain alive even when the V8 dies. I could see Ford doing nothing with it for a few years, and then down the track unveiling a high performance Mustang EV; in other words, they might need to "wait" into the...

2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

I can almost guarantee that the screens aren't the reason for the decline in sales. It's almost certainly a combination of price/value coinciding with historically high cost of living pressures. Very few people are in a position to buy an expensive sports car that guzzles gas. I think it's...

How do we save the mustang?

I have a question here rather than a comment. It seems to me that the biggest sticking point for the future of the Mustang is the existence of the V8. I assume that at some point, emissions regulations will make a V8 physically impossible to ship. I'm not familiar enough with the regulations to...

Potential steering issue on a brand new vehicle

Exactly. I was thinking at first "wait, maybe it's just me, I'm being hyper sensitive because I've noticed a few other little issues with the car". But after focusing on it and testing it out a bit while driving...it's definitely off by a few degrees. My other issue is that I suspect the seat...
