  1. Who has removed their engine covers

My Dad was also an avid NASCAR fan. He (we) listened to the races on the radio too. The 1963 1/2 was a mid year upgrade for NASCAR. Ford had to sale 500 for it to be used in races. It had the Sports Roof/fastback C pillar & the 427 FE engine, plus brake & suspension upgrades. Our experiences are...
  2. Who has removed their engine covers

It’s a shame your grandparents wouldn’t sell it to you. That was an awesome car. My dad ordered & bought a 1963 1/2 Galaxie 500 XL R Code 427 4 speed. It’s the one in the pic. Highly modified now. I got it when I was 16 (my 1st car) for getting good grades. It was a lot of car, but, not too...
  3. Who has removed their engine covers

I’m partial to the Ford FE 427 R code engine. It dresses up pretty well.
  4. Refueling is difficult

Just to bring things back into perspective. I drove to DE to Florida round trip this week in my Explorer ST. Numerous fill ups at Shell. At one station, pump kept cutting off. Flipped nozzle 180 degrees- no problem. So, problem not just Mustang specific but may be pump specific. Just flip it &...
  5. Strut tower brace with supercharger?

It really doesn’t matter for street driving. It’s really for improving handling performance at the car’s extremes on the track. Most of use would never notice the difference. Shane van Gisbergen probably would. Just my opinion. But, it does look cool when you open the hood. I still want one.
  6. Refueling is difficult

Keep your regular station. Turn the nozzle. Let’s move on. Everyone is happy. Beers on me😊
  7. Refueling is difficult

What he said. The definitive answer!
  8. Refueling is difficult

Flipping the nozzle is the solution! I’ve had this problem. Someone in this forum suggested flipping the nozzle 180 degrees. I tried it. PROBLEM SOLVED! Can’t speak to flipping 30 or 90 degrees but I’m gonna try it.
  9. Strut tower brace with supercharger?

I went back & read that thread. It provided no info about the strut brace - stock, notched, removed/altered hood liner. The thread did go on to show a VMP install by Joel on his yellow Mustang , but that’s not what the white car had. If the stock brace can be modified & retain its rigidity, that...
  10. Did a thing! Now I'm regretting it?

Recent movie released on streaming service. Not sure which one. Good reviews. Has generated renewed interest, posts, etc. 😊
  11. Strut tower brace with supercharger?

Someone referenced a post from 2025 (if my memory is correct) that showed a stock one that looked like it had been notched on the underside to fit. Sorry, but I didn’t look into it in any detail. It just caught my attention.
  12. Those DH owners with Ford Performance SC Weigh in

Why is the VMP unit nonfunctional. It connects the 2 strut towers. Seems like that would provide some rigidity. Please educate me.
  13. Did a thing! Now I'm regretting it?

If you want whine, I suggest get a wife or girlfriend. Then enjoy the rumble of your V8 Mustang. šŸ˜€
  14. Well Water

I might be repetitive, but check out you local water purifier supplier (ie.Culligan). Even some hardware stores sell water purification systems. They may have a stand alone unit, about 5’ tall, that you can buy & set by your water outlet or move in & out of the garage when needed. Just connect...
