This could be related to the BCM recall Ford issued last year for a number of 2024 & 2025 model year Mustangs. Essentially, water can intrude into the module and cause malfunctions on (among other things) various lighting systems on the vehicle. It's not outside the realm of possibility that...
Can't believe I missed this - sorry for taking forever and a day to reply.
To your question, had to do both plus a bit more:
The hood stops did not help initially and in fact exaggerated the problem. Did some searching on here + Google and learned how to adjust the latch. With some trial and...
This is an excellent question since the shades are actually quite similar, but I know that is definitely not the case as I've been a Ford fan since I was a kid in the 1980's.
Avalanche Grey is very likely not the exact same shade as either of those two possibilities since Ford has a long...
These photos help quite a bit. Indeed I'm reserving final judgement until I can see for myself in person, but the impression here is encouraging. If it were up to me though, I would have kept this exact same shade but made it metallic - I have a feeling the gradients would play attractively in...
Agreed, and even the Corvette is not perfect in the showrooms. In particular, I've noticed how one headlight is installed perfectly, the other is always slightly off. (Still very nice overall though, and I would argue GM achieves tighter tolerances in general when compared to Ford.)
In my case...
We can only hope that this news is
Actually true
Ford has changed at the core to make quality a core part of their ethos
For my part, anecdotal experience with my 2026 Mustang has been reassuring. There are two minor fitment issues on the exterior, but the interior is rock solid excellent...
Indeed yes - Grabber Blue on the S650 Mustangs is metallic, though the effect is minimal. Without looking close, it's easy to assume the finish is for a flat color.
Big ditto on Iconic Silver.. very sorry to see it go and happy I landed one before Ford retired it. I assume an attractive...
I explained that the issue with the wiper is far more likely to occur at the dealership rather than Ford's factory, and BummerDriver highlighted a typo on my post as though my original point didn't stand.
I guess I was supposed to be upset that my mistake was highlighted, but it's the Internet...
Errors on assembly lines typically affect multiple examples and are not usually one offs, especially for something federally mandated like wipers (which include functional washers). You can bet your bottom dollar we'd have heard about a recall for a screw up this vital.
I don't this was another...
The good news is routine color rotations are business as usual for the Mustang - the car itself doesn't change much year-to-year, but Ford rotates colors on the regular to attract sales.
If you don't like the color choices today, you only have to wait 6 months to a year and Ford will rotate...
Iconic Silver has been retired in favor of Avalanche Gray.. probably not a big deal as those two colors are likely close enough, but it's disappointing that the replacement is a non-metallic flat color. The retirement of Grabber Blue Metallic is a bummer too.
The changes are already reflected...
Do customers have recourse in these cases where panel fit is notably off? I've seen some fairly egregious examples of the front bumper not lining up with the hood - either there's a dip on one side, or the edge of the hood almost looks U-shaped against the top of the front bumper.
Here are...
Spot on with every point. This post makes the case better than I did, and it should be required reading for every person in the country before they're allowed to get a driver's license. :)
