  1. Ford Recalls

Epic ford moment. Ya hate to see it
  2. Typewriter Tick/ BBQ tick fact compilation?

Incase anyone is wondering, within one of those 30+ page 6G Forum threads (of which I have read through all of them) it was also discovered that adding a few teaspoons of powdered carbon to your engine oil also reduced the BBQ tick. This was apparently suggested to him by a Ford field engineer...
  3. Typewriter Tick/ BBQ tick fact compilation?

I would like to know in what way is it not just a random additive package in a bottle. Was it specifically formulated to work with Ford Motorcraft oil? By definition, it is diluting the existing oil by displacing 300 mils of actual 5w30 -or whatever other weight you use- The argument could be...
  4. Typewriter Tick/ BBQ tick fact compilation?

Dumping random additive packages into your oil is more or less the definition of backyard science. Just because Ceratec comes from a big name brand does not mean its actually any good. Molybdenum or not, its still snake oil in a fancy bottle. At best, you're just diluting the oil itself and...
  5. President Trump signed Executive Order for Right to Fix

Yes Zig, I'm aware. I've been following the entire saga, including the speculation that the only reason S650's have twin throttle bodies is to bypass the inherit restriction of the carbon traps.

Whatever you do, don't start overthinking it and pouring Ceratec (or anything else) into your oil, regardless of what people say. I know its tempting, and people swear by it, but dont. Its all backyard science stuff. Just keep changing the oil at a regular interval.
  7. President Trump signed Executive Order for Right to Fix

I'm dying to know if this is how you have conversations in real life, lmao
  8. President Trump signed Executive Order for Right to Fix

Yes, you did technically purchase it. Ferrari's been doing even worse things for years now.
  9. President Trump signed Executive Order for Right to Fix

Okay, but the intention is that you go to the dealer to avoid the violation. I don't get the logic here, as there is a clearly defined path. Thing X breaks, and if you fix it you get fined unless you go to the dealer.
  10. It’s time to sell the GT đź’ť

Theres definitely better options than an Explorer, tbh. Those V6's are stinky doodoo motors
  11. anyone else's auto throttle input for manuals giving out?

The first version of the MTE's were rather soft, and once you wore them down a bit you could practically wrap your toes around the pedal through the sole. It was seriously next level, and I have been looking for something similar ever since. The pedal feel was so good, and now those shoes are...
  12. anyone else's auto throttle input for manuals giving out?

I've found Vans are still the best shoes for driving once they break in, and I've tried just about everything. Specifically the first iteration of the MTE's that they phased out around 2021.
  13. anyone else's auto throttle input for manuals giving out?

Most modern manual cars have this now. All it does is feed throttle input to prevent low speed stalling. Even the S197 had it. Its just to make the car easier to drive, its just a little tiny bit of throttle.
