I went from a 15 gtpp manual to a 22 2ss 1le manual camaro. I was considering the Dark Horse but once the pricing was announced, it was a hard pass for me. I also traded a 12 ss\rs manual camaro for the mustang pp back in the day. For the price per value camaro made more sense to me and it still...
Car is heavy, off the line you shouldn’t expect any gains, especially the torque figure not getting better. Now from a roll S650 should be faster with additional top end hp. We need to see auto vs auto as well, i wonder if the gear ratios are the same.
That is if the car weight was the same as last gen. It seems the new gen gained 130 lbs across the board. MT scaled their car at 3933 lbs with manual. The engine is also lower in torque which does not help in off the line acceleration. It would be nice to see a gen3 vs gen4 same tire, same day...

Motortrend review. Unfortunately the results are not so much in the favor of the S650. I am not sure if it is the weight gain but 3930 lbs for a manual is ridiculously heavy. I say keep...
I would like to see a Cup2 camaro ss1le auto vs Mach 1 auto same day comparison. I am not sure why Ford never allowed it. Same situation happened with the GT350TP. We never saw one. Randy Pobst did one but the camaro ss 1le was a manual had many miles on it and the brakes were shot. Even with...
I am little confused here. What are you competing with a head cam packaged camaro ss 1le? A ZL1 1le? A cayman GT4 RS? With around 550 whp now you put the camaro ss 1le on another league of its own and still lighter than a ZL1 1le. Head cam packages though with full exhaust and intake manifold...
I am not sure. A regular GT350 had 526 hp and was still close to Camaro ss 1le in performance. The overall torque on the lt1 engine is pretty decent. You do see the HP advantage on the very long straights though. I might consider the DH too depending on the price and actual outcome. If the car...
I think you missed the SS 1le. ZL1 is nice and all probably same price range as the Dark Horse but SS1le is more of a performance match and quite abit cheaper than the Dark Horse. We are probably talking about 20 grand.
I think you should still consider the 23 1le. You can get it for $45K in 1ss trim and save most likely $20K compared to a Dark Horse with similar performance. SS1LE is slept on alot for some reason. In this kind of economy i am not sure how and why though.
I m hoping for weight savings. Make the rear seat area even smaller (adults can’t fit anyway), shrink the car a little, and give us a fourth generation 500 hp NA V8 mustang gt. By the time S650 is out, camaro will be on the lt2 and lt5 engines.
