Hey everyone, just wanted to share a quick breakdown of the newly launched Redtiger F7NA.
If you’ve been tracking dashcam tech lately, you know the STARVIS 2 sensor is the current gold standard. We positions this as a high-value entry into that "Real 4K" tier. If you’re tired of blurry plates or glitchy apps, here are the 4 main pillars of this unit:

1. Hardware Peak: Sony IMX678 + Real 4K @ 30fps. This isn't that "interpolated" 4K you see on budget cams. We’re talking native 4K via the Sony STARVIS 2 (IMX678) sensor. Compared to previous generations, the low-light sensitivity and dynamic range are on a different level. It’s designed to kill that "motion blur" and headlight blooming that usually makes plates unreadable at night.

2. Transfer Revolution: 5G WiFi 6 Support. One of the few units currently supporting WiFi 6. If you’ve ever sat in your car for 10 minutes trying to download a 1-minute 4K clip over a 2.4G connection, you know the struggle. This hits up to 20MB/s (lab peak), meaning you can pull clips to your phone in seconds. For anyone who actually uses the app, this is a massive QoL upgrade.

3. Lighting Specialist: Front HDR + Rear WDR. This is built for those "blind spot" moments—exiting a dark tunnel into bright sunlight or dealing with a truck’s high beams in your rear-view. The Front HDR balances the exposure so you don't get a "white-out" screen, keeping the colors and details realistic even in shitty lighting conditions.

4. 24/7 Guard: NiteGuard™ Parking Mode. When paired with a hardwire kit for time-lapse recording, the NiteGuard™ algorithm kicks in. Unlike cheaper cams that turn nighttime footage into a grainy, green mess, this focuses on "True Scene Color Reproduction." It keeps the evidence looking like real life, even in low-light parking lots.

Greetings,
Are there any other mounting options like a blend mount? I was a multi-decade suction cup mount user (radar detectors). They leave marks on the windshield, even if keep everything clean and move them periodically. Suction cup mounts also make it difficult to use sun shades. Because of this I'm considering the fit cam X, however I know the starvis chips are superior for night time use.

Hi! If you don't like suction cup mounts, you can choose a bracket and mention it to customer service. You're right, the Sony STARVIS 2 (IMX678) sensor ensures that the F7NA will have excellent video quality! You can watch this! Redtiger F7NA Review: The Best Budget 4K Dash Cam In 2026?
