If I do it I would be using NH Under Oil in Chichester.

Did not do it ! Parked until the salt washes away ...

It helps some. I do it for my dailer driver and pickup truck. It works on rust. Doesn't do much until you have rust to saok it in.

I am doing it to prevent the car from rotting out underneath. If your trading in the car in a few years, it might actually hurt the value. Overspray on oil dripping onto plastic discolors the plastic and/or paint on the plastic. Also, the dealer thinks there's a leak somewhere on the car.

With all the pnale covers, it's becoming harder and harder to do effectively.

I do it in the summer. Powerwash the car and let it dry a day or two, get all the spots covered, then let it drip out in the summer heat onto cardboard.

Parts that get blasted by the wheels flying water, like outside of the rockers, it doesn't do much there.

A good hand waxing, taking care of paint chips, and having a crayon the color of your car does make a difference there.

I love my mustang and my ford focus winter car. Far as rust prevention goes, this is not a good manufacturer for that. The same problems I an seeing on the focus are on the mustang too.

I pretty much can't drive my car in the winter. A few spots I go to work are up a mountain, litterally. Like 1500ft over a 5-6mile span. My focus with studded snows barely makes some of the hills.

I've never used it, but our son has and likes it. I'm no expert, just going by what he says. Do they still do Ziebart undercoating? That was popular years ago.

They still have ziebart. They charge alot for what they do. Eastwood has a bees wax and applicator kit for about 100ish bucks, maybe less Bought mine years ago with a few extra cans. Same stuff they used to use in european cars.

I have to look at my car a bit more, but some vehicles really appreciate mud flaps. weathertec ones on my 2019 ram aren't too ugly and are drill free.

The seams between plastic and metal rub after a few years. Once there is a touch of rust, oiling that little spot here n there helps alot. Applying oil before it rust just invites dirt and sand to rub the paint away faster. Also, it discolors the plastic. Doing that to my 197k mile focus. Hoping no major problems for 2 more winters. Replaced the dual clutch myself 2 summers ago at 160k, started to slip in 5th grear at bit.
