We are thrilled to announce that we captured the world record for the fastest 2024 naturally aspirated Mustang GT. After months of relentless evaluation & testing – our drag racing team uncovered additional horsepower over the summer, and their efforts paid off with a record-breaking run on the first hit in 6 months!

The gains were attributed to our Steeda S650 ProFlow Cold Air Intake (CAI), ported heads from Airflow Solutions, and Kooks 2” long tube headers. The CAI alone opened up more horsepower & torque +13 peak hp, +11 peak torque over the leading competitor - https://www.steeda.com/steeda-555-3234-mustang-v8-proflow-cold-air-intake. These modifications combined with the suspension upgrades; the team was able to achieve a record-breaking time of 10.758 seconds down the quarter mile.

I have the Steeda "power pack" which is just the CAI and their tuning on my Gen 1 Coyote and I have to say it really did wake the car up. Noticeable power gains on 93 octane from the driver seat. Car is an animal now and spins tires through the first 3 shifts. Also, I hand logged all my fuel mileage over the last 2 years and after I put the Steeda stuff on my car I see almost +2 MPG on my weekly commute. It's kind of surprising really.

Just watched the video - what are the details on this?

Are gen 3 heads a direct swap or were parts like timing components needed from the gen 4 engine? Were the gen 4 cams used?

Interesting stuff!

From our Lead Tech: "Gen3 heads are “sort of” a direct bolt on. We used the stock cams and timing components from the Gen4 engine.

Because we used Kook’s headers, they have both exhaust bolt patterns on the flanges so they fit correctly. It would be our interpretation that anyone who was doing this swap would already have headers, so this should not be a problem. Head gaskets are a carry over from the Gen3 engines, so this made it easier as well.

Full power potential will not be realized until we can get tuning support; right now, our hands are tied.

Hope that helps - you can call us at 1800 950 0774 to speak to our team if you need additional info.

Best,

TJ
