Well this is just ironic. After about a 3 year wait, my dark horse was expected to arrive at the dealership next week. Plugged the vin into Ford's tool and mine is affected. Just spoke to the dealer and while this is still new to them and they didn't have that much information, they suggested it will probably delay delivery. The universe really don't want me to have this car! 🥴
I understand that feeling but hang in there, its worth it.

I’ve had my GT for a couple of months and as expected all clear on the recall. For those impacted I wouldn’t be concerned, it will just be a firmware update as part of delivery

I cannot see how this will delay delivery - it’s software FFS

Yeah mines on the recall, always felt it was software as the current version running in the car is glitchy, for me around the favourites button stops working every now and then and slow to respond

That’s interesting - mines been trouble free without exception. I wonder what’s changed?

Just thinking out loud maybe there’s been some component changes that have upset the system balance? Foot for thought if thinking about mods. This thing is way more complex than the last gen.

Mine's not on the recall list, I'm hoping they don't hold up all deliveries at dealers while those in front of me get theirs fixed.

I have to confess I am an idiot lol, for some unknown reason I was pressing the silver garnish thinking it was the button, I had a decent play around with it today, now I understand sigh don't say you don't learn something every day.

Thanks Adam,

At least mine is an unaffected 03Oct Build and currently languishing at Baltimore awaiting its Luxury Carribean Cruise.
Thanks Adam for the link. Fortunately my DH came off the assembly line on 26 August so is unaffected.
The Torino is currently docked in Auckland with arrival in Port Kembla scheduled for 15 November after a drop off in Brisbane..
I am hopeful of picking the car up early December.

@bfets I just saw another thread saying impacted vehicles wont get delivered until Q1 2025...surely this can't be true, have you heard anything about yours?

Oh goodness, I hope that isn't so. If it's only a software update like it seems to be, I can't imagine why it would be that long.
I haven't heard anything more from my dealer. Only that it may delay the delivery and they'll let me know as soon as they have more information. I'll follow up next week.

Hoping my DH, which is due here on Torino end of November gets the all clear.

Hard to know which date is most relevant. My assembly offline date was Aug 19th, just inside end of the date window. While gate release post QA was Aug 31st, is after the end date.

The VIN lookup shows no recall however, assuming that doesn’t change, all seems ok.

Hopefully the fix is on the dealers prep list for affected vehicles. Should only be a 5min job to fix if only a software issue.
