    They could make more power with a 2-cylinder if they tried hard enough, and there are plenty of V6TT's that are no quicker/faster, nor fuel efficient than a 5.0 V8. Hardly a reason to want in a car as impractical as a Mustang.

    Since we are talking about overall packaging, easily. Speaking of 3.8 TTV8 engines, McLaren's M838T has a 108mm bore spacing vs the Coyote's 100mm which will increase the engine block length by 32mm not taking anything else into account.
