    Automatic COTUS Checker

It can be a little glitchy on the weekends, but it's working for me currently.

    Automatic COTUS Checker

    That's a nice surprise! Congrats!

    Automatic COTUS Checker

Is anyone's 2019 showing up in COTUS yet?

    Automatic COTUS Checker

DukeGaGa Is there a way to remove a car from the cotus checker? I used the wrong dealer code when I signed up.

Do you guys do paint protection film and ceramic coating? Don't want to de-rail the thread but I keep seeing people doing ceramic coating but don't see as many talking about paint protection film.

    Automatic COTUS Checker

Road trips are fine, I'll be doing a 4 hour trip in my Bullitt to bring it home. Just vary the rpm. So basically, don't use cruise control and vary your speed. With passing other cars, slowing down for higher traffic sections, speed limit changes, tolls, cops, etc you should be varying the speed...

    Automatic COTUS Checker

It caught a lot of the dealers by surprise too since in the past the model year changeover didn't happen until the fall and people could still order into the early summer. Ford decided to make the 2018 model year short probably so that they don't have to launch a brand new model year in November...

    Automatic COTUS Checker

I guess we can't trust the production schedules anymore that are out there, but according to those, nobody should have been able to place a 2018 order after 3/2 since that was the cutoff date. But since order banks didn't open yesterday for the 2019s like they were supposed to, it's anybody's...

    S650 cancelled?

If the Ford family and these investors want to make a quick buck on stock prices, they can play with their money in the tech sector, or better yet, throw it in cryptocurrencies. Every company wants to be Tesla right now but they’re a house of cards until the Model 3 proves itself. Car companies...

    S650 cancelled?

In America you’re right and I agree 100%. I’m not in Europe so maybe some of our European friends can chime in but I thought a lot of Europe was producing a majority of their electricity with solar, wind and water. I think this is why the the European car companies are diving in head-first on...

    S650 cancelled?

If the website can’t be trusted, that throws out the validity of the claim too if they’re the only ones reporting it. Sure, Hackett doesn’t sound like a ball of fun but I still doubt this heavily until someone with some weight backs it up.

    S650 cancelled?

I've never heard of this website until 5 minutes ago and the whole article is written with a slant against Ford. Also, if some insider had some big scoop like this, don't you think they'd talk to a bigger publication? Lastly, it mentions Ford was planning to benchmark the S650 against the BMW 3...

Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

That won't stop enthusiasts. Gas prices now are nearly double what they were in the 90s (even adjusted for inflation) and even the general public drives far more now than ever. In the UK they already pay 3x what we do, and people are buying V8 Mustangs like crazy.

Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

Sure, I understand Ford needs to build what sells. But I think there still needs to be fundamentals and core attributes that don't change, instead of just bending to whatever the current trend is. I see this car going in the direction of the Mustang II. As much as people like to rag on it, the...

Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

I never thought I'd see so much hybrid support on a Mustang forum. Like I realized months ago when this thread first started, there's two types of people in here. Those who love the sound and feel of a V8 and those who simply drive the V8 version because it's currently the fastest model. That...

Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

This is really the smarter way to go imo. Taking a big, heavy Mustang and adding electric motors and batteries to make it fuel efficient is one approach. But I'm willing to bet if they shrunk the car down to 1965 size or even 1967 proportions and returned it to a 289 V8 (4.7L) I think you could...

Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

I guess the point I'm making is right now there are two types of V8 buyers. Those that buy it just because it's currently the fastest Mustang and those who buy it because they also love the sound and feel of the V8 better. Once the first group ditches the V8 for the newest, fastest hybrid...

Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

Read it again. I said it will "eventually become less and less".

Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

Exactly. And eventually the demand for V8s will also be 5% once the Hybrids are introduced as being faster and still affordable. That's when the V8 will stop making business sense and go away.

Mustang Hybrid (S650) Announced, Debuts in 2020

People keep saying this but look at how rare the manual transmission is getting. There's still a very vocal and real demand for it, yet it continues to go away. Many enjoyed it but give way to the new technology of dual clutches and fast shifting automatics eventually because it's faster by half...
