I replaced the battery on the old, non-working one. Without success. On that non-working keyfob the red LED lights up, whenever a button is pressed

short update: I ordered another key with the same specs on ali and this one works right away after programming. All buttons and the keyless functions work. On this new one the red LED doesn't work though. Not a big deal, but obviously there's quite some variation in quality it seems.

oh, I WILL burn the old one. Just ordered some new on ali. I'll report if one of these will work. Thanks again!
