If it is correct that Ford is using a very light oil on their paper filters, this would coincide with the filter turning black overtime. The oil is going to catch more dirt and grim. I’ve seen K&N and other oiled filters do the same thing.

Have you installed the Atak yet. I am very interested in your feedback. I have the non-active. Interested in the Atak axle back. I assume the axle back isn’t quite as loud as the cat-back which is ok with me.
