I can’t give you any advice about the tuning stuff, I am not a professional at all about the software, i think @ZXMustang could help you out as he is very familiar with the coyote tuning platform.
In any scenario I would highly recommend you getting a real oil temp sensor, if done right you can...
Already installed the DH valance and I have a DH undertray on order, i get more room for my tips and I get the airflow needed to retrofit the oem diff cooler. Looking at my old valance it looks like some bumps on the track actually made my exhaust make contact with the valance. Still need to...
I plan to do my oil changes after every track weekend. As stated by the ford service manual. I am also considering changing out my diff fluid because I did get it to a toasty 293.
Thanks for the advice! I’ll get the oil changed soon. I’ll also inspect my dust boots and see if I can get some new brake fluid put in. I’m still using the fluid that the factory put in.
I had a feeling, it did sound like the factory rev limiter whenever you’re in park or neutral. Do you know what parameters it uses to determine the cutoff? I was able to run the car even hotter. Car was reading max at around 294F oil temp (in reality the oil temp through my actual gauge was 282).
Hey all!
I wanted to make this post to talk about my recent track weekend at the Buttonwillow Circuit track, as well as discussing future steps for my car to make it better on track.
This was an event hosted by NASA. This was my second ever NASA event and second event track event. They are an...
I honestly just followed the diagrams on the ford website, but the lengths that the topside hoses reach are different, the longer reaching hose goes to the bottom connection and the shorter reaching hose goes to the top. Luckily when actually connecting them Im pretty sure due to the varying...
Were you able to figure this out? I’ve been looking at the diff coolers from the gt350s and gt500s and they’re pretty well priced used, would be nice to have that easy install and only have to worry about plugging in some connectors to get the whole thing working
I ordered the sensor and the harness but I just have one question about the diff cover. I saw in 6g the diff cover and it doesn’t seem the sensor actually goes into the diff fluid. When you put your sensor in was there a port to remove that would leak diff oil or not?
I haven’t activated the gauge yet but I already know where to activate it, I just wanna double check what the part number is because I’ve been seeing multiple part numbers shared on this thread.
I have a non-PP car as well, can you give me the part number for the wiring harness that you got? And where the wiring harness replaces the old one? Are there different variants of this harness or is it just a standalone harness for the temp sensor?
Off the top of my head I’d say around 1000 bucks. Used all oem hardware and parts. Install was a pain but the cooler works very well and I haven’t had an issue. I did make a post about the install if you want more details about the install process and what parts I used, should be helpful.
Honestly I can’t find any good info on where you should really back off trans temp wise, I know the trans fluid is made to be ran hot but still. I installed the trans cooler anyways, so I don’t really worry about my transmission temps too much.
Honestly 240 oil temp is not even bad, usually for these engines you should start backing off once you reach 280 F (yellow zone on the track gauges). 225 for transmission is about right, operating range is about 206-215 I personally wouldn’t go above 220. Can’t say much for your CHTs, aluminum...
AFAIK the Mishimoto radiator will allow fitment, I’ve seen them installed on dark horses with no issues and those also have the same trans cooler as the PP. For the Roush radiator I’m confused, if you mean the intercooler on the Roush Supercharger kits then it should fit, most intercooler setups...
So it’s been a couple weeks since I’ve installed my trans cooler and I’m ready to give my final thoughts.
1. Does it work, yes the cooler actually works well, driving in 90 degree heat with traffic my transmission would 100% have gotten to temperatures around 210F, and after some rough driving...
