Don't really think you can go wrong with any of the Audi S cars or the BMW M cars. BMW has the manuals of course, but if you don't care about that then those cars are a blast to drive.
magneride is already standard on the dark horse. I believe the Magnetic damping system for the handling package is just magneride but tuned for handling
I have never done cutouts. What are you referring to? If it's cutting holes in the exhaust, I would not generally recommend that as it sounds unsafe and probably leaks a ton of exhaust smell
any H pipe, X pipe, or resonator delete will increase volume a good amount. Double H is nice, but if you're not upgrading to the full Corsa catback, I don't see it as any different than the Steeda H pipe or other cheaper H pipes.
I actually got an email back from Borla saying the hanger is different, so it won't fit according to him. Haven't tested or seen the bottom myself to confirm, but apparently it does not fit
Basically the title. Looking at this: https://www.borla.com/products/ford-mustang-gt-axle-back-exhaust-system-11953bc exhaust. I've already made the cut to the rear valance for a quad tip exhaust, but was wondering if this would fit on the 2024 model. Kind of disappointed Borla didn't offer a...
As someone who has been modding a GT as their first car for the past year, I would say drive it around for a bit. If you have problems with some of the driving experience, tackle those first.
Lowering springs are nice, but they definitely affect the stock ride quality. It is more harsh and...
From what I can tell in correspondence with whipple through support. It should be 50 state legal soon-ish (cope maybe?), they’re still testing. Same thing still stands, if they were to offer a carb legal tune vs a non carb legal tune, then that’s a totally different story.
It doesn't matter though. Whipple isn't a custom tuner. Unless they've changed business models, the tune that you get in Florida will be the same tune you get in California or any other CARB state. Whether that tune changes with LTH or other mods you can put in the calibration request, i do...
Gotcha. I have not heard of this; is there a news link to it or something about it? I know Ford is releasing the Gen 4 coyote with a tuned version, but from what I can tell; it's essentially a Gen 3 coyote, just more expensive.
I would be very curious to see where this is being offered. I'd imagine these standalone tunes are tunes sent specifically to vendors or other third parties that Whipple is partnered with. For the majority of the market, I'd imagine that this cannot be offered since it would break CARB legality.
nothing has changed. Cats will fail or not. Depends entirely on how you drive and how aggressive you drive. If you want it to last long, then just drive it normally and not like a racer. Or you can take the cats off, but there’s cons to that
You mention the above, but I think you are assuming...
online is way too anecdotal/subjective to trust. Someone will post about it on any forum, and the immediate assumption is that it applies to every single car. Being that the crowd for sports cars are people who want every ounce of power possible, people will see these posts and assume that LTH...
I recently got the borla touring installed on my base GT! Sounds great; however, American Muscle did not ship the valance with it when I ordered, so had to cut the stock valance. Worked great and am a happy customer of the touring noise. Doesn't make my neighbors want to put potatoes in my...
Dealers I've talked to would not install long tube headers since emissions laws in the country have made punishments on installing anything regarding cats very difficult (anecdotal, but have known this to be the case even in states that don't do emissions testing). This can vary from dealer to...
there's numerous discussions about this on mustang6g. I'm gonna combine this discussion about headers with catalytic converters because you cannot really talk about one without the other. Headers you can replace, but most offerings don't allow you to keep the stock cats. You can remove them...
Don't know more differences than the ones you stated. The engines are "technically" different (gen 3 vs 4 coyote), so differences could probably be seen in efficiency, strength, etc (minimal differences imo). Dark Horse is 4024 lbs vs Mach 1 3868 lbs, so theoretically the Mach 1 would give the...
