I can't remember exactly what worked for me as I dont have the car but one of this worked.
- I twisted it a dull 180 and this way it worked
- Or I twisted it 180 once and then again 180 back to it's original position. This way it got loose and I adjusted it.
I've spoken to 5 different firms and as soon as they hear the case details. They send the contract immediately over email, which implies that I definitely do have a strong case. Now it's just a matter of whom I am comfortable with signing
Update # 2 - Post dealership meet-up
NOT good news. But not shocked, was worth a shot!
They did a trade in and valued my car at 49k exact. And for my same model and spec, were asking an additional 2k OTD. I obviously said no. Except the color everything was same.
They had another one rapid...
The GM did ask me to send him an email with my preferred option. I do want the magneride. But from the online inventory I can't tell if a car has it or not. So will wait till tomorrow. I will probably go for a better spec car and not want to pay the extra $$. Let's see how it goes tomorrow
I agree. So I can get a replacement car on my own as long I just have to pay the registration title fee as per Texas law. Any other charges they ask me to pay, I have to decline.
But I will still speak to the lemon lawyer tomorrow and see if I can get additional compensation for the trouble...
My understanding is the same. I did speak to a lemon lawyer based in Texas in Houston. I am based in Dallas, not going to make a difference obviously but just for context.
They did say that they'll want 38% or 4500$ tops on whatever the compensation would be agreed with Ford. Even if they fix...
Update following my meeting with the GM dealership:
I went in person to the dealership and spoke with the GM. I explained the entire situation, and he immediately suggested that if it's taken this long, perhaps the dealership could replace the car with an identical one from their lot or as...
So I asked for the dealership manager details from the car salesman. I'll go in tomorrow and see him in person. Apparently, he was transfered in 6 weeks ago from another dealership. Will update after I meet him (or not) tomorrow
Thanks for the suggestion. I also believe option 2 is better right now. From what I understand you're suggesting I file the complaint directly rather than going through a lemon law firm.
I honestly want to get this resolved as amicably as possible
@roadpilot and @HWill
I just moved to Texas last year and only ever owned 1 car before the Mustang. In short - don't have any relationship with the dealership yet. But I can go and try to speak to them first obviously as recommended. Who should I go speak with? The service manager, dealership...
After nearly a decade of waiting, I finally fulfilled my dream of owning a Mustang. When I was getting my first car, my parents vetoed the idea, citing concerns about reckless driving typical of teenagers. But now, after years of waiting, I finally ordered one last March and saved up to pay in...
Did it work then? I tried this last night and didn't seem to work for me. Can you please make a video of how you did it? I know I am asking alot but would really help with this extremely annoying problem
Just got my first ever Mustang delivered at the dealership. Can't help but notice that the rear view mirror is kind of limited in movement with all the sensors on the windshield.
I am 6 ft tall and personally prefer my seats all the way up or almost up. So that's what I did with this mustang...
