I agree. I was hoping for a little more but its a spec series so everyone gets the same hardware. Iām expecting the car to be super heavy. But should still be lots of fun to drive!
wow, I think Ford performance read my post! $145k falls right in the middle. I will wait until I see the full specs on the car but right now I must admit there is a little less racecar stuff that I would have expected in the R. But Iām still very excited and will try to order one.
Letās see...
Back to the Darkhorse R.
I was really hoping this car would be a discount GT4 without having to follow the regulations of the class. Something like a GT4 with a tremec trans, no carbon body panels, no complicated fuel system, etc. I'll wait until we know more about the car but that stock rear...
I used to own a Ford dealership (sold 2 years ago), and unfortunately, that's kinda true. Ford tried many times to show its dealerships new stuff and give valuable future info but you always have the stupid guys secretly taking pictures and/or leaking the info which ends up plastered all over...
I'm assuming the S wont have the same cage as the R and Gt4. My feeling is that the R will get the same seam welded BIW and caged chassis as the GT4 (THE big difference with the S) along with other upgrades. That would allow the S to be cheaper.
Yeah... In know I kinda agree BUT... I just thought, what if ....... Assuming the following
" The Ford Mustang Dark Horse S is essentially a stripped-down version of the street-legal version and we're being told it has been conceived for the "weekend track day enthusiast." To shave off...
I actually have a perma-hard-on since the announce! š Love the new car, love the enthusiasm for racing, can't wait to get detailed specs and pricing on the racing units.
I now understand Ford will do what they please, I thank you for reminding me, for getting me back on the right track with your intervention.
I am not sure where you read that I dont love what Ford is doing or where I complain or where I'm asking for anything from Ford. I am shopping for a new...
What if they dialed down the S if compared to the FP350S to reach a lower price point, let's say 105K (street car with a cage an racing basics)...
The R could be between what the FP350S and the GT4 was, at a $180k price point...
The GT4 would be $250k...
Makes sense?
