I do think thereās more variations to come to take advantage of the Mustang brand. The name still has broad recognition and is definitely worth something. I have a few friends that have Mach Eās and theyāre constantly telling me how much they love their āMustangā (then I tell them how much...
I was talking about all Mustangs, not Dark Horse specifically. And thatās my point, Mustang should really start being viewed as more of a niche car, much like Corvette is. Through that lens, the Mustang is expensive yes, but not necessarily stupid expensive. Low volume, specialty cars...
I donāt know that theyāre trying to phase it out necessarily. But, thereās pricing power in volume and the volume isnāt there like it was for most of the S550 run. Consumers views change over time, cars are no different. Station wagons all but died because of minivans. Minivans are all but...
Some people here need to stop watching TV/social media and look at real numbers. The economy IS healthy (not fantastic but growing and healthy). A healthy, growing economy means inflation (2-3% annual inflation is generally considered healthy). The job market is healthy, unemployment is low...
Looks like Maisto will also be making a GTD, in Vapor Blue. Q1 2025 delivery

I got an alert from them back in September about them being made and available for pre-order. Ordered mine right away. Supposed to start shipping in March.
I preordered the GTD from GT Spirit a few months ago.

Going to have to get a Dark Horse too. My collection is all 1:18 scale, so I have to keep them all the same
To those saying the clear tails could cause legal issues here in the States, Ford made them for the Ice White Package for S550 in 2022 and Ford Performance currently makes and sells them here in the US for installation on any S550. So clear taillights made for use here in the US are in fact DOT...
My logic is purely from the manufacturer lens. Porsche is the gold standard on track, thatās who Ford build the GTD to go after. Not Corvette.
I donāt really care how many people are comparing GTD to the ZR1, thatās their business. Iām not buying either one so I really donāt care, but a...
Well, itās not a drag car. Has never been marketed as such from day 1. All that aero probably keeps it as a 10 second car.
ZR1 has an option with less aero, which is probably the trim that did the 9.6 1/4 mile. Good for GM, should be a great car. Will be curious what it does around the...
I know itās not an S650, but I run 285/35/20 on 20x10 squares in summer. Stock tires are 235/50/18. 3% rule is pretty good IMO, but honestly 3.3% isnāt making a huge difference. If you want to run 275ās, a 9.5ā wide wheel is ideal for most tires
Curious why some in this thread think 0-60 is some great indicator of a carās performance. All it really says is if something is quick off the line or itās fast in a red light to red light race (donāt do that stuff btw, itās dumb and immature).
If drag racing is your thing, use 1/4 mile times...
Unless they deleted it for 2025, the HPP is offered for S650 Ecoboost. Was just looking at it on the Build & Price site
edit: that was indeed for 2024. Itās been deleted for 2025ā¦
Look no further than the DH for your answer. Yes, there will likely be a higher performance Mustang coming and probably soon. No, it will likely not carry the GT500 or Cobra nameplate. Ford isnāt interested in reusing nameplates of old apparently. They couldāve easily called the DH a Boss...
I would not use the word IF here if thatās any consolation to you. They will fix it, they want to sell it whether itās to you or someone else. Only reason they wouldnāt is if itās so bad that it goes back to Ford (doesnāt seem likely here).
So I would say take some comfort that it will get...
Thatās good to know that they at least have some level of polish before they apply as well as a paint inspection.
$6k is about the average for full PPF when I priced it. Can definitely be higher depending on how far you want to go with the paint correction.
