Yep. Full digital instrumentation was available back in the '80s. Several GM cars were equipped with them. So were some Nissans and Hondas, if I recall correctly.
My thoughts exactly. If Ford would release a smaller, lightweight (under 3400 lbs)Mustang that actually performs, I wouldn't be able to get to the dealership fast enough! And skip the 4-banger! V8 or nothing!
Everybody knows the GT350R has carbon fiber wheels, and they're painted.🤷♂️
Porsche absolutely does use CF wheels on their street cars. Look up the 911 Turbo S Exclusive. Carbon fiber wheels are also available for the Panamera and the 911 GT# cars. Heck, if you ponied up enough cash, you...
I can't help thinking about that Katy Perry song when I hear the Dark Horse name.
Base Challengers and Chargers are pretty horrid looking to me.
Links?
The Model S had the advantage of being able to soak up Willow Springs excessive bumpiness thanks to its gargantuan weight. Let's see what it would do around Laguna Seca.
Not really. The Plaid has nearly 300 more HP than the Taycan, and the Taycan is just as heavy as the Plaid.
I would love to see where you guys figure a Model S is good around a track, especially one beating an M5. Everything I've seen and read about it shows that it is cumbersome around corners and can't brake for squat, thanks to its pavement cracking 5,000+ lbs weight.
Do you? You know...
I'm also curious if the rear transaxle will make it onto a production variant. If it does, that means that it's almost inevitable that the Mustang will go mid-engine within the next 20 years. (That is, if it still has an ICE option.) Too bad I'll be too old by then to even care anymore. 😭
I don't see why Ford doesn't just produce the 350 and the 500 concurrently. There's an obvious audience for both, and many customers would actually buy both.
Don't put too much stock in that GT3 pic. It's obviously just something a designer cobbled together in a hurry just to get something...
Excellent response, except for that part. The S550 was definitely not a massive leap. It's more fussy, yes. A massive leap? Nah.
I thought you were gonna go a different way. I've owned an SN95 (New Edge), S197 and S550. The SN95 is by far the worst interior. It's an ergonomic nightmare...
That's actually not a bad looking car. Too bad Ford killed the Fusion here.
Keep in mind the Fusion had the S550 face before the S550 had it. So, you could kind of say the Mustang "borrowed" from the Fusion. Of course, we all know that particular design language is owed to the old Evos concept.
Is MyColor no longer in Mustangs? I don't have it in my R, but I figured all the other Mustangs still had it.
Are you sure that wasn't just a faulty latch that didn't work right from the beginning? After all, you're talking about a 1979 Ford product.

I'd like to see better quality...
The Fox body and SN95 had a decently sized steering wheel.
It's camo. That's not what the production tail lights will look like.
It's an Ecoboost. Look at the floating brake calipers both front and rear.
Hatchback and liftback are not the same thing.
Everything it DOESN'T need.
Like many have already said, the hood is too short. Looking at the snub nosed hood, thickness of the grille, and the ground clearance, it might be an upcoming Escape or Focus.
I'm right there with you. Once I heard from Matt Moran's YouTube channel that the S650 was going to be bigger, that was the nail in the coffin for me. I've owned 4 Mustangs and still have 2 of them. I'm done with Mustang until Ford gets the size and weight back under control. The current...
