I forgot your dealer is in Vegas. I bet. I was pretty excited myself when I was heading to the dealership to pick mine up. It's a relief when you don't have to check Cotus anymore
It should be in Vegas now. I'm curious if yours gets put on a truck in Vegas or it stays on the train until California. There is a big rail yard in Colton, CA. Not sure if Union Pacific offloads cars there or not.
Right now, I'm just going to do small stuff. I got the more heavy duty Mustang mats from a Ford dealership on eBay. I changed the side marker lights to the LED ones from Diode Dynamics. I am going to change out the rest of the interior bulbs to LED soon. I'm taking off the chrome 5.0 badge and...
I was actually considering a Focus RS before I pulled the trigger on a Mustang. I test drove one about a year ago and loved it, but the price is what held me back. None of the dealerships in my area would sell one without the ADM. Paying a few thousand more for a GT over the RS is pretty much a...
I found the old cotus checker e-mails. After mine was built, it went to in transit on 3/31. On 4/2, it went to awaiting shipment. On 4/3, it went back to in transit. My car arrived at the rail yard on 4/10 I believe. It sat there for a week before it was delivered to the dealership on 4/17.
I don't think it hurts if you do a few redlines while breaking it in. I've done quite a few but I'm going to try and do some less spirited driving the next 400 miles or so. I'm already at 100 since picking it up yesterday.
I would worry about the repaint job looking like shit as well. Hopefully buffing it will get rid of it or at least make it not as noticeable. The spacing on my trunk lid is slightly off as well. Everything else looks pretty good.
I'm loving this car. I'm coming from a Focus ST so the pull in...
lol, not right when I left but I did after stopping at the first light. I'm trying not to drive like a maniac all the time, but it's hard not too in the Mustang. So glad I got the active valve exhaust. Sounds pretty good for a stock car. How did the front end turn out after it was fixed?
Hopefully your dealership marking your car will speed up the process. It makes you wonder if it's still sitting in a rail car. Milpitas is a pretty huge rail yard. My guess is there are a ton of car carriers waiting to be unloaded. Check out this satellite photo of the parking lot for all the...
